Review summary
I've traveled on Norwegian ships a total of 189 days. I won't go on the Epic again. There is almost no room to sit down inside this ship. The atrium area is a joke with overhangs from O'Sheehans obscuring most of the activities they put there. The sound system is terrible in the atrium. I could not hear most of what was going on both from the chairs at O'Sheehans or the atrium. The food is generally good, especially at the specialty restaurants but Norwegian management has taken away shrimp cocktails in the main dining rooms. Same with lobster day. I went on Royal Caribbean Freedom of the Seas immediately after this cruise and got both. Other food problems on the Epic is that their pizza tastes like cardboard and their sweetbreads/dinner rolls are bland and uninviting. The entertainment is OK but the theater is far too small for the 4100 guests. This caused them to have to schedule Burn the floor and Priscilla multiple days in the theater leaving few new shows once you have seen these two for the rest of the guests. On the plus side, Nicola Ward was a very good entertainer. Also liked the guest lecturer, Janice.Embarkation
