This was the worst cruise we have been on. The ports were great but cruise not so much. Took 3 hours to get on and about the same to get off even with priority debarkation because we had an early tour booked through the ship. I lost 4 lbs on a 16 day.

Norwegian Epic

16 Night Transatlantic Westbound (Barcelona To San Juan)

Sail date: November 22, 2019

Ship: Norwegian Epic

Traveled as: Singles/Friends

Review summary

Too mush Latino music and not enough American music on the Lido deck. Lots of lousy food but good mixed drinks. Slowest food service we have ever had on our 13 cruises.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
3 hours to get on the ship and they lost my luggage.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The food was so bad I lost 4 pounds. Cagneys and Teppenaki were good and O'Sheehans was way better than the main dining room and the buffet.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Most activities were in the atrium and too noisy and not enough seating.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Could have been a lot better. I even dozed once.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
Two hours to get dinner in the main dining room is unexceptable to us. Food in the buffet was not worth the walk there except for the crepes.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
No central elevators was kind of weird but the atrium was too crowded or noisy to enjoy anything there.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Some people complain about having the bathroom on each side of your cabin door but did not bother me. We had a Mini Suite. I would not pay extra for this room again. Lots of storage but very little space to walk and really nowhere to sit except the bed because sofa was not comfortable. Only had a backless stool instead of a chair at the vanity.

Ship tip

Don't!

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Priority disembarking took three hours. I felt really bad for those that did not have it.
