Review summary

Norwegian leaves much to be desired. Ship is too big and poorly laid out. State rooms suck. Can’t hard ply move around, but there was TONS of storage. Ports were OK, food was good some days and not so good other days. Doubt we’ll cruise with them again.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
After being told we could check in around 10:30, we got in line (first!) we were told we had to sit down because they needed to clean the check in area. After we checked in, we were given a note that said because of a gastrointestinal infection of over 2% of the passengers and crew, we could leave the ship and get a refund. It was too late for us because we explored the port of embarkation and checked in around 4:00.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Did not like the service in the dining rooms. We were a group of 7, jammed into a table for 5 or 6. Service was slow, orders were wrong or we didn’t get the food ordered. Terrible!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Did not participate in these activities. Did not interest us. With five days at seas, entertainment should have been spectacular. A big letdown.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Most shows and other entertainment were mediocre. Quit going.

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Stateroom steward was OK. Didn’t clean or turn down our room on several occasions. Wait staff had no clue what was on the menus and got orders wrong on many occasions. Buffett staff was terrible. Not enough to clean up tables. One staff member used a USED/SOILED napkin to wipe down the table!! Appalling!! I promptly took out a wipe and cleaned the table. I did this on several occasions. Poor. Poor. Poor

Ship Quality

What a disaster of design. So confusing. Took several days before we figured out the configuration. Also, common areas like the Atrium were small. There were about 100 chairs to accommodate 4000 passengers!

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
You like not having a bathroom? No bathroom. Had a toilet in a little space and a shower in another little space. The sink was in the cabin. Awful!! On a positive note, there is TONS of storage.

Ship tip

Do not sail on this ship! It is awful! Our group of 7 all caught colds and no wonder, cleaning common spaces is non existent.
