Walking track around deck 7 is long and excellent. The best that I have seen on a ship. Exercise and weight room was adequate. I liked the fact that some of the hot tubs were adult only. I would have liked the ability to pay for the exclusive spa privileges on a per day basis rather than the rather large fee for the entire cruise. On cloudy days at sea, it would be nice to be able to use the spa on a daily basis. As for excursions, I quickly learned that we could team up with some other passengers and negotiate tours and cabs at a much, much cheaper rate than fees paid for ship "excursions."

This was my 13 cruise, however my second on this cruise line. This was my first 9 day cruise and I was hoping it would have left me with great memories but it did not. There were a number of concerns that I would like to touch on: 1. First and last day 2 major shows: which is crazy because the first day most people are checking in and getting themselves together and the last night we are trying to pack and get other things out of the way. 2. The bed sheets were not change once and we made certain indication on the pillow case and sheet which let us know that the same sheets that we started out the sail with are the same one that we returned on. 3. The back of the toilet seat could have been clean much better. it was dirty from the beginning before the cruise started off. 4. the self serving of food which change the last two days clearly indicated that something or people might have been getting sick on board and for whatever reason the decision to keep that infornation on the down load not sure if that was for the cruise line to save money and not pay the passenger left a bad taste in mouth. it might have been good to have said something to find out that they might have been passengers who could have been sick but did not report it; like myself. 5. I realize that you are there to make money but this was the first cruise that I feel that was the most important thing and the passengers were not; 6. the cruise director and assistance cruise director were not personable nor were they funny or even entertaining 7. If rules at put in place then they should be enforced; for example: no children should be on the front row and thGoing to St. iere were kids on the front row and also allow to run up and down. 8. the day on St. Kitts we waited about 1 1/2 hours before we could get off the ship which was about 1:30pm and it was not that we had yellow tickets or even very high numbers (which would have been even more disappointed if we did have higher numbers) before we were allowed to go off the ship. A number of a passengers were allowed to come off the elevators on the 4 level and just joined or got in line before a number of passenger who were already in the line after their tickets were taken. 9. the toilet bowl seat could have been cleaned much better. 10. on a positive note: the Jamaican band was very good. 11. As indicated earlier this has been my 13 cruise and I love cruising but not sure if I will be crusing On NCL any time soon and will not invite friends or family to cruise as well. Sorry, I thought that the 9 day would have been a great experience but it was not. 12, Entertainments appear not to be culturally focus Thanks for the experience

THE DAWN IS WAY PAST DUE FOR REFURBISHMENT. SMELLS OF MUST AND STALE SMOKE, ARTWORK MISSING, DECOR OUTDATED, PLASTIC PLANTS SHOWING THEIR AGE, ALL EXTERIOR HANDRAILS WORN OUT. IF YOU ARE CHOOSING THE DAWN BASED ON ITINERARY YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED BUT THE EXPERIENCED CRUISER WILL BE VERY DISSAPOINTED WITH THE STATE OF THE SHIP

Just returned from my cruise on the Norwegian Dawn (first time cruise). Staff was excellent, very friendly and seemed to enjoy the job. The food was also very good and I enjoyed the Freestyle format which provides great freedom of choice in dinning and other activities.I don't recall when the ship was last refurbished but it does show a bit of wear in some areas, but everything functioned properly. I would definitely recommend Norwegian Cruise Lines based on this first time experience.

The services especially the dining is first rate. The quality of services provided by the crew is utmost excellent. The food quality is very good. The waiters and waitresses provided us the most convenient services ever.

The Norwegian Dawn was wonderful experience! Our family of 6 had lots to choose from when it came to entertainment, food and drinks. The staff was friendly and helpful and always willing to answer questions. The ship is laid out so that you have variety everywhere you are on the ship. From the magician and comedian to the pool and restaurants, this ship was perfect for a family vacation.

Excellent Cruise Great ship Great service, food and entertainment

December 3-12th, enjoyed the wonderful hospitality of all crewmembers, and loved the fabulous on-board entertainment each night.

Ship needs to be refurbished now not in June 2011. Food in main dining hall was below average. Specialty restaurants are very good but extra money. Buffet was good in the morning, passable at lunch and poor at dinner. Had problems with bed that took staff 3 days to fix-new mattress. Room was so small you could not walk around left side of bed. Ports were very good but they should drop the Dominican Republic for somewhere (anywhere else) else. Entertainment was very good. I do not want a $8 drink for the hundred time. Some of the acts (entertainment) needed bigger locations and some needed smaller-PLANNING.

Cruise director, staff and entertainment was good. The food in the main restaurants was as usual. Unfortunately the wait staff were not as attentive as on the other NCL cruises. The bar staff were excellent though. The disembarkation process was excellent.

The ship was very clean and the crew members were very friendly and helpful. Directories/Maps of the ship were posted at convenient locatons and I never felt lost or turned around. The food was fantastic. Sometimes the man playing piano seemed to be hitting the keys way too hard. It was distracting at dinner. Overall I had a FABULOUS time.

Ship needs to go into dry dock for a total makeover now, not in the spring of 2011. Food not as good as could be. Best food was in the Garden Cafe (buffet). This ship was a disappointment. They nickle and dime you to death. Asked for an ice cream cone and they barely gave you a whole scoup. What is that. Most ships have self serve and you can get whatever you like.

I planned this vacation with my family and It was awsome. Everyone of us enjoyed the activities and shore excursions. We rested a lot and our child enjoyed the Kid's club so much that he planned to go early every day.

Boarding the ship was easy as was leaving. NCL Dawn was well maintained. Food was good, enjoyed the Garden Cafe with its great variety. The Cruise director was usually good. best I've ever seen. Great energy, enthusiam and his participation in many ship activities. T

This was our first cruise on NCL. Have cruised Carnival, Holland, RCL and now NCL. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and the 24 hour Blue Lagoon. We're morning people so loved having breakfast in our room, an afternoon snack and maybe fish and chips at the Blue Lagoon. The staff was always very friendly. We will definately sail NCL again.

The Norwegian Dawn is a great ship. Many, many good restaurants and the staff are definitely top notch. The cruise director does a great job in keeping your day full of activities. All events are very well planned and definitely with the guests in mind. We had exceptional entertainment while we were onboard which made our time on the ship very enjoyable. All staff members were very attentive and willing to go above and beyond to make you a satisfied customer.

The ship was clean and pretty. When eating freestyle, sections of the food line would be closed causing a shortage of seating on the side with the food. The tea was the worst. Coffee was not the best. Hair dryers were very heavy. No lobster night on a trip to Canada and New England!! The rooms were large for a cruise ship and kept clean. Bed and pillows were hard. For older people, they were uncomfortable. The staff and the shows were wonderful!!
