The last 2 ships I've been on were larger and newer (The Epic and the Breakaway). I don't mind that the Dawn was older and smaller and didn't have as much fun things to do (no rock climbing, etc)but the toilets really smelled. We had to hold our breath when using our bathroom and keep the door shut at all times. 99% of all the bathrooms around the ship really smelled bad. Some of the boat needed updating, the stalls in the bathroom were obviously old. The staff were friendly!

We traveled in October 2014, through no fault of NCL, we were unable to make it to Bermuda due to weather problems The staff of the Dawn were excellent, did the best they could given the circumstances Plan on trying again in the spring!

good ship, spa is lacking and there is still smoking. Entertainment was very good. food was average. Main dining room service lacking.

Average. No bar service at the pool the first three nights on board. Had a hard time finding waiters to take drink orders. Not enough to do when weather was bad.

Dawn is an older ship, but well maintained. The crew go out of there way to make the guests happy.

We had so much fun with our group. Staff were very nice. Ship was updated. Entertainment was great!

It was a good cruise and we were very well taken care of, from the food to the entertainment, to keeping things neat and clean.

This was our first cruise and we had a blast! Thinking about taking the whole family on a cruise!!!

The ship is very nice the rooms are very nice. The bathrooms were the biggest I have seen in a basic cabin very nice. The entertainment options were quite extensive. I would wish the ship would ban smoking in the casino's or at least have 1 or 2 nights where no smoking is allowed. The smoking/ cigar lounge was in a poor location with smoke wafting out of the lounge into a bar area where the Italian restaurant was located. Also, the Japanese restaurant and Bamboo the oriental restaurant were directly above this area and it is open to the deck they are on you could smell smoke in this area also. I would consider going on the ship again.

  This is my 6th cruise, and it is the first one that did not have a main dining room lobster dinner night.  What is more disappointing is the fact that the cruise was to the "lobster capitol" Maine.  I was looking so forward to the dinner and it didn't happen. 

  The ports were interesting and full of history.  The changing of the leaves was breath taking.  All of the ports were clean, and the town's people friendly.  The tour guides were hometown folks who shared lots of stories making the tours enjoyable.

  The demographic of this particular cruise is an older crowd.  The entertainment was developed with that in mind.  There wasn't a night club for dancing.

  The food was good, but the dining room service was mediocre.  There was not enough staff to make sure that all your needs were met.  

First, I have been on many cruise lines such as Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Princess, Carnival, and I can say without hesitation that NCL is the worst.  They are completely unorganized.  For example, the "Anytime Seating" is a joke.  Since everyone on the ship usually eats dinner around the same time, there is a 45 minute wait and we were given a pager, just like the one I receive at a usual restaurant.  So what is the point!  Then they tell you to go wait at the bar.  Well--there are no seats at the bar because others who are waiting are sitting there.  There is absolutely no structure and it is like a "free for all".  When the cruise ended, there was no announcement of where to pick up our luggage tag number.  Apparently, you can select when you want to get off the ship by taking a certain colored luggage tag.  Once a certain color runs out, then you have to take a different color which means a different disembarkment time.  Since there was no announcement of where to pick up these luggage tags, I had to wait in line a the purser desk and ask.  Rahtner than spare the reader of other mishaps with this cruise line, I would encourage the reader to take Royal Caribbean or Celebrity as both of these are MUCH BETTER for about the same price.  It is not even close--the food, the entertainment, the structure, the events on board, the atmosphere, and the staff, are so much better with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity!!

Such a awesome ship!!! I met the love of my life on this ship!!!!  Great time, great food, niuce staff, very clean, awesome entertainment, always something to do, I was crazy lucky at their casino...''Virtual roulette'' I made a ton of $$$$$ WOOOHOOOOO  Bermuda is paradise.....I reccomend Horseshoe Bay, and somehing quieter Elbow Beach.....I love the Norweigian Dawn and love Bermuda, see you again this August, will be my 5th time Boston to Bermuda!!!!!

I loved this cruise. People and staff were very friendly. Food was not as good as the cruise I went on for Carnival Splendor but was still very good. This cruise seemed more organized and less chaotic than the Carnival Cruise I experienced in April of 2013

Organization lacking in almost every category. Communication about everything was extremely poor or lacking. Menu choices the same for 14 days. Restaurant choices very limited unless you are willing to spend extra. Restaurants crowded with wait times of 1 hr. Food quality less than average. Wait staff poorly trained. A few were rude. Carpets dirty and stained. Entertainment same on week 2. Activities were limited. I paid more for this cruise than others with similar destinations. Really disappointed.

horrible check-in, took over 3 hrs because original greeters kept messing with the lines, taking last people first over and over! Once onboard, ordered to listen to safety before seeing room, eating anything or even going to the toilet. We were cows not people for several hours! Not what I paid to experience!

We loved the ship as a whole the cleanliness, and having a balcony is the only way to go.

Team approach in every aspect of our trip! Customer service was met by every dept. that we interfaced with.

I am writing this because I want to share with you how much I LOVE this ship!! I could sleep very fast and the shows are awesome!! The food is good too especially the FRENCH FRIES!! The swimming pool has salty water but still I like it. The crew on the ship is extremely nice! You get an opportunity to take photos with the captain TEO GRBIC. He is very nice, handsome, and tall!! He was the luggage man before but now he's the captain!! On the last day, I didn't want to leave! I had so much fun I thought that the ship was my home!! Hope you enjoy cursing with NORWEGIAN DAWN!!!!!

The Dawn was a beautiful ship. It was very clean.  The crew were fantastic.  Always pleasant and eager to help.  The buffet was unexpectedly very good.  We enjoyed the entertainment very much.  Armand did a great job as cruise director.  Unfortunately it rained most of the three days we were docked in Bermuda, but we still had a wonderful time.  The beaches are very clean and the water is so beautiful.  We are looking forward to another cruise.

Loved the simplicity of the Norweigian Dawn. Not too small but not too big either. Easy to get around and find things. Shows were fantastic. Staff very courteous and helpful. This was our first time in a penthouse suite. Would highly recommend this to anyone for the many extras in the room along with the extra amenities that are included when staying in a penthouse suite.
