I would never recommend this ship

It was very clean and the staff was helpful and friendly. I enjoyed not feeling pressured by events and time schedules. I cruise a lot, and enjoyed the change from our normal cruise expreinces. It was great not worring about anything!!!

The ship itself was beautiful. I did not like arriving in the bahamas at 8 PM at night because everything seemed closed. We had to be on board by 11:30 am which gave us little time to see one of the most beautiful places on earth. A shoppers heaven. Stirrup Cay beach was so nice, one of the nicest beaches i have ever seen. They water was so clear and clean.

Beautifully decorated. We ate in every restaurant and everyone was fantastic. Our room was nice size. The crew were friendly and helpful.

Free Style Cruising is fun. The ship is huge and lots to do or not do. my bathrrom was so small, (how small was it) I have a linin closet at home large then the bathroom. The food was not great. I guess I expected more Shrimp, Seafood, Lobster ect. Some of the meals were outstanding. 2 of them. the rest were lousy and the service was great two nights out of 7, so I was not impressed with this cruise line. I will not go back to them. I will pay more and go with Disney instead. thanks Joe M

This was out second cruise on this Ship. We have taken approximately 14 cruises in the last 7 years. This ship is beautiful and well maintained. The staff were wonderful and helpful.

The ship is very clean and had absolutely everything you'd ever need.

We sailed for the second time on the NCL/ Dawn. We were as pleased this time as the first. This cruise we reserved a balcony stateroom ...WOW....we will never cruise any other way. The entire crew of the Dawn is fantastic, room stewart never tire, the activity team is just that a team who's sole purpose is to make sure that all passengers are having the time of their life. There are no words to do service to the meals served during this cruise... We can hardly wait to book another.

We were very happy to visist ST. THOMAS, TOROTOLA, ST MARTIN AND SAN JUAN. The cruise line, at the last moment, changed its last port of call to the island of SAMANA DOMINICAN REPUB. What were they thinking?? Not a port of call to brag about. Dirty water, dirty surroundings, dirty people, ( scary people too!) . I cant help but wonder what the cruise line was thinking when they brought us there!!! All in all, the majority of our cruise was wonderful. The four other islands were sights to see. Great people great beaches great shopping. Would recommend.

This was my first time on Norwegian. We were impressed with the the ship. It was very easy to get around. We liked the freestyle dining. Not enough deck chairs. Nice shows in the evening. Comfortable staterooms. Excellent service in the dining room. Pictures were pricey. They printed up one, then made a calendar of the same picture and made you take both for double the price, didn't like that.. Didn't need the calendar! Needed more activities on sea days..kind of quiet, not much going on.. Overall a good cruise but I prefer the other lines and would not sail Norwegian again.

The Dawn was a very pretty ship. Easy to find your way around it.

This was our first cruise, so you could imagine It was very overwhelming that the ship was so huge, we were on the Norweigen Dawn, out of N.Y.C. We stopped by 5 different Islands the last being their private Island which was a beautiful Island, the only dissapointing factor was there was not enough time to spend on the Island once the ship docked. It was prettyodd that the teen disco started at 11:00 at night, my son being only fourteen I thought that it was a little to late for him to run around the ship unsupervised, while I was doing other activities. But my overall thought about the ship was that the staff was very helpful and friendly. And the ship is very well kept and spotless.

Our cruise was wonderful. The ship is beautiful. The service is amazing. The waiters take your order and have it to you at incredible speed. They cater to your every whim. The shows were excellant. Our excursions were very nice. We enjoyed everyone of them. I would highly recommend going on this cruise.

If you thinking about NCL for the first time, give them a try. The are amazing. Something a bit new. This freestyle cruising wont be for all but is great for most. you eat anywhere anytime. No assinged seats, very weasy resevation system. Will no doubt travel FREESTYLE.

Our recent cruise onboard the Norwegian Dawn to the western Caribbean was a dream come true. We had sailed on the Norwegian Majesty several years ago to Bermuda and had a wonderful time; but this past cruise far exceeded our wildest dreams. The staff was wonderful; always a smile on their faces and before you thought you needed something they were there offering it to you. Our room was on the 10th deck with a balcony near the front of the ship; it was very spacious, always kept clean, and the balcony provided us with quiet time whether it be gazing out over the ocean or sitting back reading a good book. There was never a dull moment on ship; the cinema had new release movies playing throughout the day and night; the ships dancers and singers were top notch and the comedians, magicians and singers there were flown in at various ports to entertain were fabulous. The food was great; if anyone went hungry on the ship their jaws must have been wired shut. (ha!). The buffet was always inviting, or if one chose there were several other restaurants to choose from. This vacation was a much needed rest for both myself and my husband; we looked at each other at the end and wondered why we hadnt done this much sooner. We are already planning our next trip; the southern Caribbean out of New York. Keep up the GREAT work!

In March of 2006, my husband and myself and our best friends went on a cruise from New York to the Carribean, It was our fourth cruise with NCL but it was our first with an outside cabin with a balcony. Previously we had been on 7-8 day cruises but this was an 11 day cruise. We all felt very rested with the extra time and being able to enjoy the ports and morning coffee on the balcony was Awesome!!! NCL's freestyle cruising has us hooked. I'm not sure spending the extra time sailing from New York was worth it but we spent an extra night in New York and did enjoy that. Our plan is to start saving for both of our 40th Anniversaries in 2011 and take a Mediteranean cruise to celebrate.

The Dawn is a beautiful ship with style and elegance. Our entire party enjoyed the different activities that ere scheduled every day. The crew were helpful with all of our needs.I will definitely sail on her again!

We enjoyed the cruise so much because of the beautiful wheather, the ship where there were just 900 guests instead of 2300, the food and drinks, the Ports…. We loved it!

My wife and I returned from a 10 Day Baltic Sea Cruise Aug.10, 2022. We flew from Orlando, FL. To JFK in New York and due to weather missed our connecting flight to Stockholm by five minutes. (only one flight a day to Stockholm) This resulted in us missing our ship departure. We were on the phone with NCL and discussing with Delta our options from 815 pm until 3 am when Delta agreed to re-book us to Helsinski, Finland the ship's third port of call. Since we were unable to leave the airport we slept there on the floor. The flowing evening we boarded a flight to Stockholm with a connecting flight to Helsinski. We arrived in Helsinski a day before the ship and had to spend the night. The following morning we met the ship in port and were required to retake a covid test at a charge of $95.00. Our checked in baggage did not arrive until after our cruise in Orlando, FL. On our return flight from Copenhagen to JFK we were re-booked for our flight to Orlando and spend the night in New York. We were given a voucher for a Hotel and a Cab to take us there. The Cab took us to the wrong Hotel which did not have a shuttle back to the airport. I contacted the correct Hotel who informed me they were booked solid and then I called an Uber to take me back to re-booking. Delta said they had confirmed booking for us and the Hotel was required to provide a room. The Hotel told us no room available and they checked with another Hotel that had a vacancy and provided us with a shuttle there at 11pm. Since we had a flight the next morning at 7am we met the shuttle to the airport at 5:30 am. We did endured a lot on this trip. However, all the ports we visited and excursions we took were outstanding. We would like to take this cruise again and hopefully not have the same experience we had on this one.
