The servers on the pool deck are not included in your gratuity. I am not sure that the floating servers at O'Sheehans are either and this is too bad. I would really have appreciated knowing who exactly was getting an included gratuity and who was excluded.

Highly recommend the specialty restaurants. The food was excellent in LA Cucina and the Brazilian steakhouse.

Don't buy any watch or jewelry unless you really know their value. Liquor is cheaper. Food is great. I definitely recommend Savor. It is free and it provides great food and service. Shanghai Noodles--rice noodle is terrible and beef so tough that I can barely swallow it.

O'sheehans remains, to this day, the only restaurant on the Breakaway we havent eaten at. It really is like the Applebees of the ship and should be demolished for a cool authentic street taco stand. Tacos rule!

Tepanyaki is a great specialty restaurant and worth the extra cost. It's a Benihana-type restaurant and who doesn't love that? Book your reservation as soon as you get on the ship as it sells out quickly.

Do not travel this ship in the winter out of New York. It is not a romantic cruise ship, designed more for families with children.

Book reservations for your free shows (2nd City, Burn the Floor, etc.) early in the cruise as they go fast. Also, you don't really need dinner reservations for complimentary dining rooms. Our party of 8 could only get reservations at 5:30 or 9:30PM, so we did walkons and were seated w/little wait!
