Review summary
When booking, we were promised a new ship; clearly, once aboard, we realized that "new" may have meant 20 years old new. The first night and peppered throughout our stay, screaming, tantrum-throwing children kept us awake on our anniversary cruise (residents were in room 14850) and when we complained, we were told the children were sick and were yelled at from their balcony. Classy, right? Apparently, the sea was too choppy to disembark at Stirrup Cay, so we only had a day to spend in the Bahamas (Nassau). We re-boarded the ship at Port Canaveral because it was wall-to-wall people with little to no transportation anywhere off the pier port. The ship was at all times extremely crowded with an international tour group that was pushy, self-serving, and rude. The saving grace wasn't the food, though--it was the spa experience we often went to for quiet, solace, and to hear each other speak. The entertainment of Second City and Rock of Ages was masterful, and we enjoyed our cabin care provider, Radwell. Otherwise, we will go back to Carnival Cruising--they have it down to a science and compensate when things go awry, unlike Norwegian. DON'T DO THIS CRUISE!
