Thanks for sharing your cruise with us.

No one is "kidding " anyone into believing anything ! It is more than true that if you speak to someone with common decency & respect, as I said, 9x's out of 10 you'll get the same in return. And I'll reiterate ...9x's out of 10..

That is very hard to believe. We have been on this ship 4 times and just came back from a 14 day that was fabulous. The staff could not have been nicer. Great ship and staff. Going again in May

I think most of you don't make any sense. I've been on the Breakaway and I can tell you some of the staff are extremely nasty. I met an extremely nice waiter and bartender on the cruise. The guy who cleaned our room was very very rude. So to say if you're nice to someone else then you'll receive the same in return is crazy!!!That's not always true. You're kidding yourself if you believe that one.

it's split up between all staff and depending on the cost of living of the country your from they will payout but 1350 a day isn't much we went out for a nice steak dinner last night Bill was just over 100 so tip was 20 bucks 18 percent for good service. but if I'm not mistaken the 13.50 is part of the pay package witch is so wrong if you ask me. but leave what you feel comfortable leaving but all I can say is it tip on a ship and you will not see any negative reviews from me about staff or service for a reason.

I was only on it once stayed in the heaven very nice but you forget about the rest of the ship so I'm actually looking forward to stay in a regular balcony this time. just wondering we are doing the 930 boarding time do you think it will be to early. I was thinking we would be able to get right on the ship and enjoy it before everyone after reading people say we may be waiting awhile 😢😢😢

I use to give the cleaning crew 100 at the end but I realized that they didn't expect it because most people don't tip them unfortunately so I just leave 10 a day in the room for them now that they expect to get it they will go beyond for you maybe a little extra

PS my tips are usually $20 per staffer and that goes a long way in their countries

Amen treat staff the way u want to be treated .. I've done this ship 3 times and never had one rude staffer .. I do tip each and everyone I come across with cash on top of the built in tips.. They need the $ big time .. So don't be a mean narcissist and you'll have a beautiful trip .. Trust me I've been on 34 cruises and that's the way to do it .. Specially cleaning crew, bar, room stewards ..

I have been in customer service for 25 years & I can assure you not every day is a great day. Everyone has an "off" day from time to time so I agree that if treated with respect .&a smile , 9 times out of 10 you will get the same in return. I was on breakaway in October as well & had no issues

fritolay2008    8 years ago

Not sure if this is the case with you or not but usually when customers say the staff is rude it's because they themselves were rude. I have yet to meet a person in customer service that was rude to me if I treated them with respect and dignity. I have gotten upset sometimes and acted harshly and have had issues.

just treat them like people it's simple

The staff has a tough schedule, 7 month contracts. We spoke to staff who stated that if they get sick or hurt and our out more then 5 days, they are off the ship, sent back to the Philippines and replaced. If you took the time to say hi or just to thank them, I don't think you would find them to be rude. From our room stewart to the buffet and restaurant staff, the encounters were great.

try to relax you are on vacation

andrew2600    8 years ago

I was on the Breakaway in October and didn't encounter not one rude staff member.

maybe you should be nicer to the staff and maybe smile a little and they wouldn't be scared of you. Oh and give a tip they remember you when you come back
