Review summary

The only great was food and drinks..... embarkation/disembarkation process awful, entertainment is the worst we seen before on cruises. Only duo and jazz was ok. Pool is small for this size of ship, just few bars have coffee machine for espresso/cappuccino. Be prepared to pay for EVERYTHING. Some officers are rude and liars. However, steward was great, some waiters great. Out of all specialty restaurants only steakhouse and seafood are great, other are just ok.

Never ever with Norwegian again

steward was taken care of cabin good but size compare to princess and celebrity ships smaller

It was fun on the Breakaway during the New Years Eve Cruise. But yes it was crowded with alot of kids and teenagers. During 80s night the Cruise Director Scott stated he felt like he was in a High School Musical with all the kids dancing around. But it was all in fun. My next cruise however will be off peak, Jan-April when not alot of kids would be on board, next to my cabin was a bunch of high school kids. The music and the smell of weed on the balcony was almost every night. The lastnight security disrupted the festivities. But we didn't let them ruin our great time.

Great reply Rhonda and also a great attitude towards cruising. Reading reviews be they negative or positive, it gives us all something to learn from. Granted, many people (especially new cruisers) expect to be treated like royalty and to be given fabulous food (when most of them probably eat at fast food restaurants most of the week). For the new cruisers, these problems come usually from mis-information. When a series of chefs are dealing with feeding 2000+ passengers, yes, there are times service can be lengthy, food may be over cooked or just not done to their liking. When in the specialty restaurants, the chef (usually singular) is dealing with a bare fraction of passengers to feed so he can give more attention to detail. Enjoy your cruise. And by your attitude, I can assure you will!! Bon Voyage.....

You will have a wonderful & exciting time ! And yes, negative reviews ARE helpful , nit picking is not..all that does is put an entire ship & cruiseline in a bad light & dis ways a ton of people from enjoying a wonderful vacation because of access or lack there of , of espresso ...those complaints are silly & petty in my opinion.

everyone is entitled to an opinion, personally any day I am on vacation is fantastic. But negative reviews help you to learn how to enjoy limited vacation time to the fullest, for example many of the reviews during school holiday weeks are bad. made me realize its better to pull my kids out of school snd travel at times when less children might be on board. IDK, but I try my best to learn what I can from negative reviews, and realize some people are harder to please. I am traveling this May. I am so excited this will be our second cruise, anx I plan to make the best of it :)

No matter what we pay for everything through the cruise fare or with the extra charges nothing is ever free no matter what company you cruise with

I thought Rock Of Ages was,awesome, so was Burn the Floor. The speciality resturants were awesome, well worth it if you purchased the dining packages. The pool was small yes, but if u did research by reading cruise critic or this forum, u could purchase a Vibe pass or spa pass. U can't say the cruise sucked because of a small pool and no expresso bars nearby..It's your vac enjoy it!
