my favorite part of the cruise was the excellent service provided by the crew. I am giving this cruise two stars because the itinerary was changed with out any notification which was the private island my family and I was looking so forward too. I am streamly disappoint at my travel agency for the poor communication. 

Because of our schedules being so hectic, my husband and I could only go on vacation the week of October 30, 2016.  We booked NCL Breakaway because we enjoy the amenities and good times NCL provides.  We knew the ship was large but not until we boarded did we realize how big it was. 

First, the Breakaway is a family oriented ship.  There were lots of strollers and kids. While there were couples, there seemed to be more families.

Second:  Could not figure why with nearly 4,000 people on board, they would build a ship with a very small swimming pool.  The pool did not have a ramp to go in and out so me, having a disability could not use the pool.

Third:  Service on the ship was somewhat lacking as there was a definite language barrier.  A few of us resorted to writing our drink orders out and they were still wrong.  The servers and bartenders did not seem very happy and it showed in their work.

While we did not travel with a group, we did meet and hang with others and we all commented on the same issues. 

While we still love NCL, the big ships are for others. We are going back to the Gem for good and will arrange our schedules accordingly.

Everyone was so friendly and helpful. The ship was so clean. The performances were amazing. We had a blast. Looking forward to our next cruise. You have to see the shows well worth the money.

the trip to Bermuda was amazing but the service received on the boat was not good at all. the room steward person never cleaned our room or had clean towels for us to use. He also never replaced the toilet paper so we had to search the hallways for a cart and take them from there. The food was awesome as always and the drink package was super great.

The island of Bermuda was beautiful!, the same CANNOT be said for the NCL BREAKAWAY.

Having cruised on other NCL ships and had wonderful experiences, not on the Breakaway.  The stateroom with a balcony(if you could call it that) was smaller than on any ship we've cruised; the food in the "Garden Cafe" could only be described as adequate, but salty: service was the poorest of any NCL cruise; the SPECIALTY RESTAURANTS were excellent food wise but lacking in service.

All in all we would NOT sail on the BREAKAWAY in the future UNLESS major changes have taken place.

I had an enjoyable time.  But i really rave about Splash Academy.  My 7 year old Grandchildren  Damai and 5 Year old Daniel had a great time.  I was so relaxing for me and my daughter to know they were safe and well taken care of while we were enjoying ourselves. The food was very good.  The laid back atmosphere really won me over.  I don't like being pressure to do thing.  I like the fact that I didn't have to dress up if I didn't want to or go to a Captain's Ball or eat at a mandatory time at a particular time.  The only downfall was the weather, which the cruise had no control over.  I will not go so late in the year next time.    I am trying to get my brothers and sister to plan a cruise with me next time.   

My husband and I, who have both cruised Carnival and Royal Caribbean before, thought the cruise was not worth the amount we paid for it. I was nice but the first day all the shows and restaurants, that you have to pay EXTRA for, were already all booked. So Friday for my birthday dinner the idea to do a nice seafood restaurant went out the window. So dining room we went every night and it took 2+ hours every night to get/eat dinner, so ridiculous. The entertainment was just ok and you had to reserve that too, which we had never heard of having to do before on our other cruises. I just feel the quality of the food, service, and entertainment was not at all what I was expecting for the amount we paid. We will not be cruising Norwegian again.

As soon as we boarded the ship we were treated like royalty.  The staff, food, entertainment and overall experience on the breakaway was AMAZING!!!!

STRONGLY SUGGEST SEEING FOR YOURSELF!

Very relaxing cruises yet with lots of activities.

Burn the floor shows and dancing lessons are great.

Specialty dinning are excellent.

We bought your promotional voucher and will definitely come back to cruise more. 

My husband and I were really excited to go on our cruise.   I purchased a balcony room on the 9th floor.   We were very disappointed.   The balcony was small, could barley fit 2 people.   Our view was blocked after i asked several times if it would be and was told no.  Our room was in more from the other so I couldnt see to the back of the boat, I also couldnt see down as we had the 8th floor roof on the balcony.   The ship was awful, the had to make reservations for things, the guest service people and staff were rude.   I complained about our room got nothing, I also purchased a 250 min package to call home, and was told when i asked guest service why i couldnt make calls, that it was for internet only.  

When boarding we saw our cabin steward who didn't seem to want to be bothered.He did wake up a little when I gave him some green. However ,for the remainder of the cruise hardly saw him. He never asked if we needed anything. In the restaurants the food wasn't that bad but it was hard to get a server who could communicate properly in English. This resulted in wrong or incomplete orders. When we checked the bill they also had us using the mini bar. Guess what? Didn't use the refrigerator except to keep containers of milk. Took over an hour to rectify this and was then forced to join the herd to disembark. Took another hour. Won't see us paying to cruise with them again

The ship in general did not have that wow factor as all other ships I have been on.  The dinner menus were good but not impressive.   It seems that you wanted more money if you wanted a better meal...$$$... In that case specialty dinning would have been purchased.  The dining staff were all very nice.   Arvin and Emily were fabulous at every show...they are a great asset to your cruise.   Every show had standing room only.  The seats in the theater are very uncomfortable ... many people coming out from the shows were all stating that fact.  The theater staff worked their "buns" off...but many people were offended by Rock of Ages  and were walking out...I felt sorry for the actors.  It was not a show for all. They did a great job.  The pool deck was very nice and the children's section done very nicely.   The smell of smoke was very apparent on this ship even when you were not in the smoking section....I never noticed this on other ships.   Our rooms were very nice and clean...and your system for having the room cleaned is an asset.  The staff in general were very pleasant.   I did like the way your Photo dept was set up with the folders...It made it very easy to view the photos.

Awesome cruise! The food was good the staff was awesome! Miguel was great at cleaning up our rooms, good guy! Planning to go bak in another 2 years, next trip is definitely going to be with my son to the carribbean.. and of course it will be with NCL again!!

Our favorite part of the cruise was going to Bermuda.  Our honeymoon was there and we desperately wanted to go back to Elbow Beach.  The food, entertainment, and service on the ship was fantastic.  The only improvement that I would suggest is with excursions.  We had booked two on different days and both were cancelled.  We got our money back, but not the money that was supposed to be given for the excursion from NCL.  We were more or less told tough luck.

Good the destination. Bermudas is for to ser.

In the Breakaway, important shows and a good variety of musicians.

The foods is very good for all the taste.

Norwegian Cruise Line never fails me! This was the 7th cruise I sailed with Norwegian and they did not disappoint. The food, entertainment, service, drinks were all absolutely amazing. I had the unlimited beverage package and it had the best liquor and drinks all included. If anything was more than $15, you would just have to pay the difference which didn't really happen to us. I had a balcony room and it was nice and clean, the room stewardess was extremely kind. The bartenders in every bar work so efficiently and quick you really do not have to wait too long for drinks. This was a bigger ship than I have usually been on so the pool areas were usually packed but I didn't mind. The cruise director Dan Dan was extremely hilarious and we had actually met him on the Norwegian Gem and he remembered us and ended up giving us free tickets to the Wine Musical show. Overall, it was amazing and the staff at NCL always make you feel welcome. 

This is the way to go and enjoy Bermuda! It was our third trip on the Breakaway to Bermuda and our Favorite ship. The crew is outstanding, service is the Best and the selections of restaurants are amazing.

My husband and I had the great experience of sailing on the Norwegian Breakaway. Not only is this a big and beautiful ship but the staff is exceptional! Dan Dan, the cruise director, is hilarious and keeps you on your toes. The shopping and art gallery directors have an abundance of knowledge and welcome questions about their work. There is endless classes and game shows to attend, from weight loss and health classes to 70's trivia and the cake masters challenge. You can sip on a margarita while relaxing by the pool or in 6 hot tubs around the ship, or you can scream down one of the 5 water slides! There are many restaurants to choose from, weather you are in the mood for a classic Italian meal, sushi, or a nice juicy steak, the breakaway will accommodate you. There is also a classic Irish pub where you can sip Guinness and watch the game or the whiskey bar where you can play cards and enjoy a 16 year molt. The rooms are well maintained and kept very clean for your comfort. The housekeeping staff is wonderfully friendly and do their best to make you feel at home. The best part about this vacation was of course the beautiful island of Bermuda! This Island not only has amazing turquoises water but has a rich and interesting history. The locals are warm and friendly and do not pressure you into buying anything or getting your hair braided. They enjoy sharing their beautiful island with the world and the unique cultural that is all their own. I recommend not only this cruise but the island itself as a great escape from reality! Go and enjoy the real pink beaches and hiking trails throughout the exotic island of Bermuda.  

The best part of our Breakaway Cruise to us was the Free specialty dining and ultimate drink package. Also the shower was very spacious. We were in a midship mini-suite in the hump. Sadly I considered the suite small and the balcony tiny. The food was absolutely delicious. Neither of the pools has steps to get in and out, so we didn't use them. The NY port is a real pain. In March and again this past October cruise there was a bicycle event that closed the road to the port from 7:00am- 12:00pm. However I must say overall it was a great cruise. 

I was very disappointed in this cruise.  The food was horrible.  The pool was the size of a postage stamp for 2000 people. The ship was dirty.  The way u had to flush the toilets was disgusting.  It was like having to touch everybody on the ships privates every time u flushed.  No wonder people get sick!  This cruise cured me from ever wanting to go on another one.  Thank you
