Review summary

My husband and I were really excited to go on our cruise. I purchased a balcony room on the 9th floor. We were very disappointed. The balcony was small, could barley fit 2 people. Our view was blocked after i asked several times if it would be and was told no. Our room was in more from the other so I couldnt see to the back of the boat, I also couldnt see down as we had the 8th floor roof on the balcony. The ship was awful, the had to make reservations for things, the guest service people and staff were rude. I complained about our room got nothing, I also purchased a 250 min package to call home, and was told when i asked guest service why i couldnt make calls, that it was for internet only.

same 2 shows all week, had to pay for other things to see. After paying for my cruise I wasnt going to dish out more money to see things.

There is a small table on the balcony. If you get room service you should be able too. Little juggling might need to be done!

Brinibaby. You will not be able to eat breakfast on the balcony. Coffee, yes. There is just enough room for two cups. The balcony is small compared to other ships.

The balconies are small, but you can sit out there in the 2 chairs and small table that are there. I would say they are the same width of the room and about 3 maybe 4 ft deep. The life boats are located on deck 6 where there are no balconies. So i dont understand why they say they were obscured.

We are on deck 13. Are the balconies really that small that 2 people can not stand out there? Seems strange to me. We typically sale RCCL and have plenty of room for a chair and small table. Thank you. So excited!!!

What view do you want? The life boats are on the lower decks where there are no balconies. We have stayed on deck 9,10 and 12 and have had no problems.

I know it's SO confusing when they call the internet packages..... "Internet packages" . But that's definitely NCL's fault for not being clear in their description and calling it "Internet package not a phone package". People blame the cruiseline for their lack of knowledge.. Makes me laugh a little inside.

Some cell providers allow wifi calling. U should see if that's an option for the future.

Cannot believe people do not do any research or read their reservation details. It is ridiculous that someone would think the cruiseline would give 250 phone call minutes. This review blows my mind.😤

The cabins on deck 9 are not obstructed. The roof on deck 8 is the covering over the Waterfront dining and bar areas. Once again, like everyone else said, do your research before booking.

So the cruise gets 2 stars because you didn't research your cabin and somehow confused internet with telephone service? (Ps, you could've downloaded an app to make calls using the internet, but looks like you didn't research that either!)

Yes check the NCL website. It has everything you need to know especially what the room looks like and where it is.

I like ncl, the breakaway is a lousy ship. My personal opinion but my least favorite of 14 ships I have sailed on

Another example of not doing some homework...I've been on 8 ncl ships and not 1 of them cell phone minutes....it's for Internet

Mmaxon I am pretty sure cruiseline only supplies wifi packages not cell packages you would have to get that thru yr cell Co when you book a cabin you should verify where it is before you agree. They should have had a description of yr cabin with balcony Sq ft Sounds like you did not get good advise front yr travel agent

Next time do your homework. You can see the Sq . footage of all the rooms on NCL'S website. Ask your TA about different packages, but they are also on the website.
