We didn't know what to expect and were overwhelmed with the beauty of Norway and the excellent service of the staff of Holland American Neuw Statendaam

This was our first cruise, thank you to all of the staff for making it a wonderful experience.

The cruise itself was good. Ship was very nice and clean, Captain's narration was the most interesting of all the cruises I have ever taken, he would explain one key word every day... educating about the unit of KNOT or about the different aspects of ship transportation. As always, service was wonderful, cabin boys and dining room stewards were perfect and very accomodating. It is the HAL's web site as well as the app that REALLY NEEDS A SERIOUS WORK in order to make it usable. We bookef the Flåm railroad trip for $66 directly with the railroad. Ship would have charged us $200.

This could make a great addition to your bucket list if it isn't on there already. The scenery is spectacular and the hospitality on the ship is wonderful.

I so enjoy Holland America & the staff that shows their pride!

The quality of food needs to improve. You need to find a better provider. The meats were like shoe leather, especially my ribeye steak at the Pinnacle

A cruise in the Baltic sea is highly recommendable. Regardless of St. Petersburg is included or not.

A cruise for people who would like to see beautiful countryside. Very similar to people who like Alaska. That said it's not for children or teens. If you're seen it all , then this is for you. Don't forget you're winter clothes, it can be very cold.

King’s Blues Club, and the visually stunning two-level World Stage.

Overall a great cruise experience. With only one sea day on the itinerary (and somewhat similar ports of call), we found it best to pick a couple of days to stay onboard and enjoy the ship.

Explore more than sightseeing the Fjords. Great food

HAL has lost its finer touch, ever since the Carnival Line bought it. Bingo pot is 1/10 of what it used to be. What ever happened to the soups - they were spectacular - now they are pretty much non-existent. Peanuts are stale. Design of the Crow's Nest leaves much to be desired. Events are double booked in the same physical area - too loud to participate in one only. NOTES was cancelled even tho there were eight signed up - no-shows resulted in our not being able to participate. Excursions are more expensive and less interesting. That said, we are closing in on earning five stars so we will probably continue - but we're inclined to explore Celebrity. BTW great Captain - excellent driving in rough seas!

This was a cruise awarded from a local casino. We did play in casino every day. The itinerary was unique, Africa!

Amazing Cruise. I do love Holland because of the crowd. Not many big party animals which I love!

Good cruise, noisy room & COVID in passengers. Nobody wore masks.

I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone. Honestly, I saw previous reviews about the average age being over 60, but I did not feel that way. I'm in my forties and my child is in her teens and we felt more than welcomed and there were plenty of activities for us both to do.

I would definitely book with them going forward and have recommended this cruise line to friends & family

Holland America is a nice cruise line to avoid the oversized fleets. Although our Alaska trip was excellent, this will in all likelihood be our last w/ HA just because of the way Guest Services handled our situation. Room stewards were great. Waiters were outstanding in the restaurants; especially in the Pinnacle Grill. Waiters/waitresses in the bars were often difficult to communicate with, were few in numbers, and often missing. Buffet was pretty good for a buffet but could use more upscale desserts.

The itinerary change caused by a mechanical problem with the ship really detracted from our overall experience. This change led to the ship arriving in Aruba very late in the day limiting or eliminating excursion opportunities. There was less time spent in both Aruba and Curacao than stated in the original itinerary which was very disappointing. Overall we just don't feel that at least on this cruise Holland America delivered the experience that we were expecting.

Generally I was disappointed with this cruise. I been on many cruises and the service on the cruises should be the number one priority besides safety of course. Guest services really surprised me with the lack of empathy I got at the desk. The need more supervision on the floor at peak times in all areas.
