The itinerary change caused by a mechanical problem with the ship really detracted from our overall experience. This change led to the ship arriving in Aruba very late in the day limiting or eliminating excursion opportunities. There was less time spent in both Aruba and Curacao than stated in the original itinerary which was very disappointing. Overall we just don't feel that at least on this cruise Holland America delivered the experience that we were expecting.

The pools suffered from a lack of seating due to pool hogs claiming chairs with their belongings and then leaving the pool areas to go to meals etc.

The onboard entertainment was excellent and offered something to please everybody.

The cabin stewards were top notch and very attentive, the dining room waiters and the servers in the Lido Market seemed disinterested in the guest experience.

Cabin / Stateroom

The size of our cabin was adequate and the cabin itself was well laid out with good lighting and ample electrical outlets. The two best features were the large shower and the ability to have a view of the outside via the bow and stern cam channels on the tv.
Port Everglades is easily accessed from I-95 and the traffic flow in the port area itself is good. I can highly recommend using Park n Go it's a clean and secure facility and their service is excellent.
Half Moon Cay was very clean and the staff was friendly. We took the Island Tram tour and it was very interesting, providing a peek behind the curtain so to speak of how the island operates.
Curacao is a beautiful and friendly island. We took the Made in Curacao tour which was interesting and took us to areas of the island outside of the port area.
Oranjestad is not as clean as Willemstad and appears to be recovering very slowly from the disruption caused by Covid. We had to cancel our excursion as the ship did not arrive in port until very late in the day due to an itinerary change caused by a mechanical problem with the ship.
