It would depend. Being one who has been on multiple carnival ships, I would not recommend the Mardi Gras. The carnival breeze and Vista by far have been the best ships I’ve been on.

Take the stairs as much as possible....you will wait forever for elevators and they will be stuffed with people. Try to get a mid ship cabin. Pay attention to your carnival hub app...it's your life line!

Go late in the afternoon to the pool and slides. Everyone is getting ready for dinner and its nice and quiet.

big big issue is the small, slow limited elevators. I had to use a scooter due to a recent injury and i would have to wait sometimes 25-30 minutes for an elevator.

If you have early assigned dining, you cannot make any reservations in few of the non pay food venues until after 745 pm. Need hub app for everything including food menus.

Familiarize yourself with the layout of the ship. Expect certain elements of guess to not have cruise etiquette in different venues. Arrive early for Center Stage shows for best seats, remember, there are almost 6k guests.

It is different than the older smaller ships. Know that when you get on board. Larger ship, more people. But the Carnival staff was, as always, superb.

To be blunt. If you are in your 50’s and above, such as we are, then this may not be the cruise for you if you are looking for an enjoyable & relaxing cruise experience. If you’re into an all-out party atmosphere then disregard my previous statement.
