Review summary

I'm more of a people watching type of person and using serenity area towards front. I went to few of shows which was great. I also hot my money worth of the thermal suites. Best times to go is port days and after 6pm till 10 pm. Otherwise it's very crowded.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
I got to the parking garage at 8 am and they let us drive in and drop off our bags. No other cars were there waiting to pull in. I pulled up to the gate and waited till 830 when they let us park. Credit card only in a machine. Walked across street to check in area took stairs to building entrance found our roped in 10-1030 check in spot. First in line. Let everyone in building at 0900. Took few minutes to check passport and vac card. Didnt use verifly. Then went through security and sat in our boarding zone A. After awhile the place became a zoo. Around 1130 they started calling zones to board the ship. Hard to hear announcing. They were holding up zoned called sign for current zone called.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I'm not picky when it comes to food. They had several omelette stations for breakfast around ship. Not as crowded at 0700 then at 0800. Get there early. Specialty restaurant s require check in on hub app after 745 pm if you have early time dining. Be sure you have anytime dining if you plan to eat at any of the other food venues.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Hot tubs on serenity deck did not seem over crowded with people. I did not use them. Plenty of chairs. Main lido pool was packed during day. Did not use it. Port days all pools were pleasant to use. Water on chilly side. Thermal Suites on deck 5 are crowded during day at sea.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Center stage shows were great. Get there early for seat. Main theater nice and large. Went to late show. Less crowded.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin steward was awesome. Saw her every day in hallway doing her job and always calling by my name and asking how I was. MDR staff was great also. Only ate there 2 times. Wanted to try other areas.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Decks 8 and 16 are decks to get from one end to other. Plenty of elevators, but I used the stairs and got my exercise for the week.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
I had a cloud 9 spa cabin. Only complaint was that the sink is to small and had poor water pressure. Almost impossible to rinse off your face after shaving since the spout is in corner and to low, or it could be just me. The shower is nice with the glass door. I had the cabin alone, so it made the experience better. So I never shut the bathroom door while using it. Tv is nice and big. About 50 inches I think. Cabin steward was awesome. Fridge was nice and cold with glass front door.

Ship tip

If you have early assigned dining, you cannot make any reservations in few of the non pay food venues until after 745 pm. Need hub app for everything including food menus.

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
Went to San Juan instead due to damage at grand Turk. Went to the Fort at the point. About 30 min walk from ship. Found out cost 10.00 to get in with CC only. No cash. Left my CCs on ship.

Port Canaveral, Florida

Use parking garage. Best 139.00 I ever spent. Quick and convenient.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Did not go ashore, I wanted to enjoy the ship with no crowds.

Nassau, Bahamas

Did not go ashore.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
I used express carry off. I was off the ship at 0715 and through customs at 0725. The face reconiction was the best thing customs thought of. No bottle neck. I was in my car and on the road by 0745.
