If you are traveling with children or if you are with someone who likes to do different activities, you might want to bring a good set of (30 or more mile range) walkie talkies with you so you can keep in touch.

Plan ahead for getting to the ship. It is not easily accessible. It cost $65, before tip, for two people to take a shuttle from the airport to the cruise ship.

Book your shore excursion on line before you leave. The lines were so very long maybe 20-30 people per port.

If you want good food plan on eating in the specially restaurants. Don't expect superior customer service unless you tip more.

Despite the notes above, I'd recommend this cruise and this boat. Of our 11 cruises taken, I like this boat the best.

Be sure to plan your dinning schedule well in advance and verify it! The mixture of formal dinning and Anytime Dinning causes confusion and can be disruptive to scheduled events and shows.

If you love chocolate as much as I do, get OFF the ship in Cozumel and visit the Kaokao Chocolate factory. Take the tour or just load up in the store. One thing Royal Caribbean does NOT do well is chocolate desserts.

We found it very easy to navigate the ship - stairways are your friend, though. Don't be afraid to use them!!

Don't cruise on a longer trip if you're under retirement age. I love older people but you wind up getting in each other's way and kids are not generally welcomed guests. It's simply a slower and quieter pace.

Parking at Lighthouse parking is excellent. Recommend the Raggae Hill excursion in Jamaica if you are looking for some quiet relaxing time.
