Review summary
Hi
This was our first RCI cruise and we chose the Jewel of the Seas Nov 15. We just needed a change in the ports an cruise lines. We have cruise on NCL ,COSTA, and Carnival to 10 cruises in all. the cruise were all very enjoyable . We just wanted a change and because of the cut backs on our last cruise We also decided to check out other lines. So we found the Jewel , the ports were it, time frame worked out ,and price was right. So we booked with two newbies to boot. The Jewel is absolutely beautiful lots of glass so you can see the ocean in most places around the ship and is very clean . The balcony cabin 8620 while not as big as Carnivals was perfect for the two of us ,location was good to. Our room service was very good Leo was very good at his job .MDR Tides food very good always tasty and hot. Albert and his staff went above in helping my wife . She has some food allergies .Windjammer was our choice for breakfast and lunch. Lots of choices there We enjoy all the ports Grenada was our favorite , They all have something to offer. and yes it did rain and we did get wet . Bathing suit was must for us.
Our favorite spot on the Jewel to relax was the Solarium . just a perfect spot everything is there hot tub ,pool. what more could one ask for. We all enjoyed the jewel so much we have booked the Liberty of Seas for Jan. Our newbies are in the process of booking for Feb/ March with their families. In all the jewel was our best so far.
