This was mine, my wife, and my daughter's first cruise. We expected to have a good experience but Royal Caribbean exceeded anything and everything we could have thought. The staff (professional and courteous), service (high quality-five star), and ship (simply beautiful and breath taking) were excellent in every way. Royal Caribbean made our vacation experience a dream come true and one we will never forget. We would recommend Royal Caribbean and Jewel of the Seas to everyone.

Ship Quality
Beautiful, clean, and well equipped
Food and Dining
Quality food with a huge variety and you should never be hungry
Service and Staff
Any staff we encountered were professional, courteous, and always ready to provide you with quality service
Great shows that made you think you were on Broadway and forget you were in the middle of the Caribbean sea
Onboard Activities
Stuff to do for everyone. No one was left out
Destinations and Excursions
Enjoyed all of our excursions and they were easy to book, and convenient to get to. Just be patient at the ports with tons of taxi drivers looking to drive you around the country. They can be very persistent.
Cabin / Stateroom
Rooms are not as spacious like in a hotel; but to be on a ship they were perfect. The balcony made up for that being able to sleep with the sound of the ocean and smelling the fresh ocean air along with breath taking views of the ocean and everytime you pull into a port.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Did an excursion in PR on the way back which was nice. Was able to walk through Old San Juan before being transported to the airport for return flight.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Convenient shopping and very nice excursions. Did a snorkel and beach excursion that was nice.
Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.
Enjoyed Rainbow beach which is right down the road from the cruise port. You need to be driven there which is no problem.
St. John's, Antigua
Didn't really get to see much of Antigua. The taxi drivers however are very persistent which can be annoying.
Castries, St. Lucia
The Jeep safari and beach excursion was nice; and the tour guide (Angus) was the best. Once again taxi drivers can be persistent which can be annoying.
St. George's, Grenada
The glass bottom boat excursion was nice as you get to see the underwater statues created after the two hurricanes that devastated the island back in 2004.

You have to remember there are a lot of people on the ship. So on the day you are out at sea, the pool area can be crowded and choice lounge chairs hard to get if you are not out there early. Even though the ship is huge, you will still feel at times the ship rock while moving.
