Very small shower and smaller room than other Princess ships.

Check the deck plans. Make sure your cabin is in a quiet area before you book. I always do this very carefully looking for what is above us and whether the balcony is close to noise from the sun deck and amplified music. We personally never go above the Baja deck for this reason.

If you have been on another Princess ship they have different layouts. Check out your guide.

Take gym clothing so you can work off all the food you eat.

On deck 10 & 11 you can walk to the front of the ship & stand outside to see the sights coming up. It is a great place to view the Panama Canal from. Go as far forward as you can in the hall & open the white door & then the wooden door to the outside.
jfausmith
Only pack the things you really need.
nbeadel
Make sure you try to make some good acquaintances.

Look up previous guests comments, and when it was last overhauled. (we were told 2015, but the ship must have only had a touch up then).
mantolov
Take a lanyard onboard.
KABL

Explore everywhere on Island Princess.
mattypanama
Be clear on what you want from the experience. If you want more night life and a party atmosphere or if you want rock climbing or golf this is not the cruise for you.
minger
Get layout immediately upon sail and learn how to figure bow-stern and also right from left
RCWalter
Choose time for dining during shows otherwise long line.
bob413
Make sure to take no more than a 2 week cruise at a time , there were way to many quite elderly people on board this 19 day cruise.
marinelt1
Know the ship.
rjhouston
Very nice ship. Take in all or at least some of the activities listed every day. The shows are a must to attend.
