Adjust your schedule for your time zone that you are coming from. Some activites are scheduled too early if you are from the West Coast. Watch your "additional expenses". I racked up quite a bill.. LOL.

Don't do anytime dining on the Island Princess. They added several hundred people in the 2015 refurbishment when they took out the showroom in the aft and put in cabin - but they didn't expand the dining space, so the lines for anytime dining were often quite long. (We always have 1st seating.)

Good idea to ask for large table at dinner to meet others, we enjoyed our new friends. Elevators are fastest of any ship we have been on. Good improvement. Only complaint is crew working outside on deck 7 in the early morning (before 9) which closed deck areas for the "walkers".

If you choose anytime dining, call ahead in the morning to make a reservation for dinner between 5-6 to avoid the long lines. After 7ish, there are no lines.....

Be wary! Took two hours to get feed until we found a good server. She was a big improvement. Norvirus was on ship very quick but they did not tell us about it for three days. An honest employee told me when I asked what was going on

I would still choose late sitting for dinner because the crowd for the entertainment at 8 was lined up to go in. The food and service was wonderful.

The concept of Anytime Dining is great, but execution needs some fine-tuning. Make a reservation for a set dining time once you get on the ship. Yep, that flies in the face of "anytime" dining but if you dine at a popular time, not having a reserved table leaves you sitting with a beeper waiting.

If selecting anytime dining you can still make reservation by calling shortly after 9am. Do this if you plan to dine at prime times like between 6 and 7:30PM. Sharing a table is good idea if you want to meet people.

The ship was freezing. We were unprepared for "cold weather", with little or no protection. Consequently we stayed in our stateroom more than we have on other cruises. This was our first Princess cruise. It may be the last.

We chose anytime dining, very long line when they start seating unless you go after 7:30pm. The ship is very nice, not too confusing to get around once you've been on a day or so.

We used early seating at 5:15 to avoid the later rush. Had great seating partners and wait staff (Edmund and Edwin). Take your own glass of wine to dinner to save a little.

We wanted the early dinner, but it was filled. Had 6 other wonderful friends at the late seating. Good happy conversation. Worked out great as we went to the early show so less likely to sleep during the show.
