Great itinerary, but ship was old and in need of a major update. Food was terrible, except in the specialty dinning. Bar service was great. Room steward was outstanding. All other service about the worst we have ever experienced.

Very disappointed in the quality and variety of food offered. (Specialty Restaurants were the exception and rated good). They tend to cover everything with poor sauces and gravy. Example is gravy for prime rib rather than au juice, and butter sauce for lobster rather than actual butter. Must have used the bottom quality of olives and cherries for drinks as they were terrible as well. Restaurant service was very inconsistent but mostly was terrible given timing of the entire meal and spacing between courses.

Show band was amazing, Production shows were okay but we have seen better. Guest performers were all over the board with some pretty good and others terrible ... but all were limited to single performers rather than small groups.

Room steward was about the best we have ever had, bar staff was really good as well but then everything else was terrible.
Ship Quality

Ship design was poor because of where the gym was located and the entire ship felt cut up. Did like the more elaborate bars which were a focus 20+ years ago.
Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was good, but our steward was probably the best we have ever had. I think we got lucky on this one.
Ship tip
Look for other ships with similar itinerary that offer better food and service ... otherwise prepare to be underwhelmed.
Thanks for the review. The older ships are many times used for a longer itineraries with interesting parts, and are more about the ports then they are the specific ship.
