Norwegian Cruise by Jmdavies050

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Iona

Absolutely loved every aspect of the cruise. I'm used to selected times for dinner so the Freedom dining was a change. I do prefer the old way but it wasn't an issue. The scene this cruise offered were spectacular. 100% want to do it again

Norwegian cruise by CruiserDave2025

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Iona

I really enjoyed my helicopter flight seeing tour in Olden that was amazing. The best Sure excursion I've ever done, but would I do a Norwegian cruise again? No, because I'm a bit because I'm a hot climate person As I'm a Winter baby I appreciate the the warm and exotic climate Of the world will you live in.

A wonderful cruise by jmkl23

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Iona

Lol I think u have to go to the Oasis spa! Its absolutely 💯 👌 It's just FIRE so relaxing prices are abit priced but its worth it trust me. For children's wash and blow-dry it's £40 (can't use discount) For Mens shave and wash (with massage) is £80 (with discount) and Lady's haircut and stuff like that is around £70 (with £30 taken off since your steward gives you a discount)

First Ever Cruise by jmold2184

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Iona

I loved this cruise. So much so I booked two more to follow on. This is a lovely way to visit plenty of places, and have the wealth of amenities from the ship to hand. I did fall in love with the ship, and so did a lot of other passengers. If large ships don't put you off in any way, this will not disappoint you. I had a wonderful time on board. You can be sure that you're indeed in for a treat here. It's a wonderful ship with friendly and helpful crew.

Could do better! by leannemathers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Iona

Whilst there were certainly issues we would cruise again with p and o, though perhaps not Iona. We enjoyed the ports but for us the food and general ambience was lacking.

Pretty good for our first post-pandemic cruise but you can tell it isn't the same. Still very enjoyable though.

A relaxing and beautiful holiday by Chiboy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Iona

We took a North European cruise, October 2022, on the P&O Cruises' ship IONA, a newbuild vessel launched in 2020, and it was truly a remarkable experience. From the moment we stepped on board, I was impressed by the ship's modern and stylish design. The SkyDome, a unique glass-domed atrium, was a highlight for me and provided a beautiful space to relax and take in the views. The ship offered a range of dining options, including several specialty restaurants and a main dining room, so there was plenty of variety to choose from. The quality of the food was very good, an impressive selection of menu options. However booking a table at the many restaurants for dinner could be quite a challenge which is not surprising given the large number of guests on board but it was managed very smoothly online and I appreciated the flexibility of being able to dine when I wanted, rather than being locked into a set dining time. The entertainment options on IONA were top-notch, with a variety of activities and shows to keep us entertained day and night. I was particularly blown away by the scale and technology of some the shows at the Headline Theatre. We love shore excursions and Bruges, Rotterdam, Hamburg did not disappoint. Overall, I highly recommend the P&O Cruises' ship IONA to anyone looking for a luxury cruise experience. The combination of stylish design and fantastic amenities make it a standout choice for a cruise vacation.

Great cruise, But… by iz951

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Iona

Great cruise, a few cons and I’m not sure if I would sail with p&o again as it just doesn’t compare to Royal Caribbean in some ways eg. Activities, food. Still very good, maybe we will again!!

A Very Good Cruise by Tom1032

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Iona

It was very good. Despite being caught in a Gale Force 9 Storm, the ship remained very stable and flat. Captain Wesley Dunlop was entertaining over the tannoy and is the perfect captain for dad jokes.

Haven’t been on P&O for a while I wouldn’t rush back. This is a very big, bland, beige boat. There is no wow factor & very limited daytime entertainment. Noisy cabin at night from a creaky boat. It reminded me of a nursing home at see. Very good food by avril55

Enjoyed the cruise & the ports of call, the food & evening entertainment

Fantastic Cruise, Fantastic Ship by taylor858

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Iona

We loved every minute of our cruise. Embarkation was easy. The ship is fantastic, the food is varied and all very good with the exception of the beach house. Entertainment was good, especially the daytime speaker. Ports were all fantastic. We couldn't have wished for a better cruise.

Iona what can I say what a wonderful ship, so much open space especially the atrium. The crew could not do enough to make your cruise special especially with covid cleaning all the time tables hand rails, fogging the theatre after every performance. Full by neildurose9

Iona. September 2021. by BrysY

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Iona

Once the horror of boarding was over it was great. A fabulous ship with so many dining and entertainment options. We did a 7 day staycation cruise towards Spanish waters via the Channel Islands. Captain Camby was great fun as usual although Covid protocol meant we didn’t see him around ship as you normally would. Not bored for one minute. We used the cinema to fill in any gaps on the schedule seeing 3 bang up to date films. Entertainment 1st class. Headliners, speakers, bands, comedians, vocalist etc. Food amazing although missing the every day basic options in the MDR. No Ariel performance due to injury which was a shame. We followed the sun so good weather and calm seas.

Unexpectedly blew us away by DCowen

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Iona

Iona totally blew us away. The relaxed yet fun vibe suited us more than we expected it too. The right amount of formality with one celebration night a week. The vegan food was one of the biggest surprises, overall great choice is most venues. The entertainment was much better than expected and every evening was filled with options in various venues. Breakfast and late night buffet was always enjoyable with plenty of choice. Staff generally did a good job and they do work hard but the levels of service and etiquette you get on some other lines just isn’t there with P&O.
