Review summary

Great cruise, a few cons and I’m not sure if I would sail with p&o again as it just doesn’t compare to Royal Caribbean in some ways eg. Activities, food. Still very good, maybe we will again!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
When we arrived we were waiting in a queue in the car for about 20 minutes. But other than that it took less than 45 minutes going through the process and we were onboard!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Most restaurants were an extra cost, including the ice cream stations. The horizon buffet was quite nice, not a large selection but had very good service. The Quays was great, there was 3 different food station options. The Asian station was quick and very nice food!!! The free pizza + poolside food station was yum however a long queue and wait sometimes and people would take the whole pizza after queuing up for ages which was a bit annoying.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Other than swimming and the sports area there wasn’t really activities to do. Which was a shame because I found myself getting bored sometimes.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Lots of brilliant shows, music and more on at different times and there was always various entertainment going on. A good variety of things each day Also the fact that there was a cinema with a few screens and different movies every day was great!!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Friendly, and helpful crew!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Lovley ship, I feel like the layout was quite tiring and confusing as it took me a good 3 days to fully understand where everything was as it was laid out different to Royal Caribbean cruises. I also found that I was up and down between decks often due to the layout but it did feel more roomey which is a positive!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice clean, modern cabin. Only downside is that the room steward only does the room 1 a day in the morning, and if you have an extra sofa bed like we did then they came and made that every night as well. Although it would have been great if they did the room in the morning and evening so you can come back to a fresh room and the bed done again like on Royal Caribbean, it’s not a big deal it was just nice!!

Ship tip

Book restaurants before hand! As some were already fully booked
