We had such wonderful weather for the time of year

A very good cruise on a very big new ship excellent food , excellent entertainment, excellent service by all the hard working staff on board we recommend this cruise.

Our first time on Iona, so glad we are booked on again in May, we can’t wait. Great selections of ports of call and plenty of sea days to chill out. Really spacious ship. Love the infinity pool on 16 and the infinity spas on 8.

Oh my gosh! It’s taken me 122 days to get round to posting this review! This was our first cruise and although the seas were a bit rough for a couple of days (and our cruise was extended by a day because it wouldn’t have been safe to return to Southampton), we loved every single minute of it. The Iona is a gorgeous ship and as it was a 2 week cruise we had plenty of time to explore. The captain was quintessentially British and we loved listening to his announcements every day as he explained how we would leave the port by “turning on a sixpence” or “pirouetting gracefully”. Amazing cruise, I’m addicted, I need to go on another one!!

Very good cruise just as good as last year Christmas cruise on Iona.

Beautiful ship, just not enough crew. Not overly impressed with the food on offer in normal restaurants. Quite disappointed overall.

Done two Christmas cruises on Iona both have been amazing

We were due to do the maiden voyage on Arvia (14 nights) which was cancelled, and rather than waste my partner and my leave, we looked for a cruise within the same time frame, this one fitted (7 nights), even though we had been to some of these ports before but not this time of year.

A couple of ports changed due to circumstances beyond control. Staff got friendlier as the cruise neared its end

We enjoyed it, however the weather was poor during sea days so the 5000 + guests had to entertain ourselves with onboard activities which as previously mentioned could be better

We took a North European cruise, October 2022, on the P&O Cruises' ship IONA, a newbuild vessel launched in 2020, and it was truly a remarkable experience. From the moment we stepped on board, I was impressed by the ship's modern and stylish design. The SkyDome, a unique glass-domed atrium, was a highlight for me and provided a beautiful space to relax and take in the views. The ship offered a range of dining options, including several specialty restaurants and a main dining room, so there was plenty of variety to choose from. The quality of the food was very good, an impressive selection of menu options. However booking a table at the many restaurants for dinner could be quite a challenge which is not surprising given the large number of guests on board but it was managed very smoothly online and I appreciated the flexibility of being able to dine when I wanted, rather than being locked into a set dining time. The entertainment options on IONA were top-notch, with a variety of activities and shows to keep us entertained day and night. I was particularly blown away by the scale and technology of some the shows at the Headline Theatre. We love shore excursions and Bruges, Rotterdam, Hamburg did not disappoint. Overall, I highly recommend the P&O Cruises' ship IONA to anyone looking for a luxury cruise experience. The combination of stylish design and fantastic amenities make it a standout choice for a cruise vacation.

I recently went on a cruise on Iona to North Europe and it was a truly unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the staff provided top-notch service and made sure all passengers were comfortable and taken care of. Another stunning holiday, faultless from start to finish, we will definitely sail on her again

Although this review does sound negative I firmly think we got what we paid for. This was cheaper than normal P&O prices and Iona was built to open up the market to people that wouldn't normally cruise. She isn't a personal as their other ships but then she is twice the size of most of them. Personally she isn't really for us but that's just our choice and not a bearing on the ship or the staff. We had a great time but not the magical time we've grown to expect from shops like Azura.

Overall excellent trip, excursion to the Briksdal glacier was awesome. All food excellent, best entertainment was Neil Lockwood (ex ELO) he was brilliant. Pool in the sky dome was never busy, perhaps because it was a little cool. The jacuzzis were great. Found the layout of the ship and its decor was of a high standard.

Perfect in everyway. Maybe add a better smoking area

Great value for money. We will not hesitate go on board. Our first with P&O cruise was fantastic.
