Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main Dining Room - waiters attentive and very friendly and very good at remembering your likes and dislikes. Tables very close together. Food excellent although by the 2nd week the choice of food was repetitious.
The Windjammer - didn't use very often as it could be quite stressful getting a table.
Speciality Restaurants - didn't use
All drinks served were top brands.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5

Entertainment
3 out of 5

Service and Staff

Staff friendly and efficient
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
In general very good. Playmakers Sports Bar is far too large and The Schooner Bar is far too small.
Everywhere clean and tidy.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin comfortable and very clean. As it was an inside cabin it was very compact. Not much floor space but plenty of storage space.
Ship tip
We would like to stress we did have a lovely holiday but if when people go on holiday and seek out the nearest British pub and sports bar then this is the ship for them. This ship isn't for us and we wouldn't choose this one again but would do R. C. again.
Superb. Would recommend The Hippo Trip Tour. Very knowledgeable tour guide and plenty of opportunities for great photos. Included in the trip was a Belem Pastry. Very tasty.
Walkable into Arrecife Town. Beautiful Marina with shops and cafes. We took the hop on hop off sightseeing train which let us get around and see things which were slightly further away
Lovely walk from the port. Santa Cruz was beautiful with plenty of shops and cafe. The seafront is currently ungergoing a major refurbishment and will only add to the beauty of Santa Cruz.
Excellent. We did the hop on hop off sightseeing bus. As it was a late arrival in port and early departure we didn't have time to do the cable car and toboggan which was unfortunate. Would definitely go back to explore more.
Excellent. Walked around the beautiful Old Town which is a must. We also visited the old Fort at the port which is another must see. Beautiful square with cafes to sit and watch the world go by.
Thank you for your posting,as pleased you had an enjoyable time,I was on the Indipendance in Aug and saw Playmakers packed full and it could, and it could have done with an overspill area,it was one venue where you could get a drink, from morning till evening, and I do not mean just Alcohol. The schooner Bar was very busy and full during the quizzes, but this is the same on other RCCL ships ,but when the quiz finishes, then slows down, that is my experience, happy and safe Cruising xxx
