Don't pay for the shuttle bus which is $12 per person. If you are parked near the rental car office, take the free shuttle they offer. It is just past the paid shuttle from Celebrity. Celebrity will not tell you this.

At the northeastern tip of the Canaries, Lanzarote offers some of the most unusual scenery to be found, with its unique "lunar" landscape of the Timanfaya National Park. Wander in the well-preserved colonial town of Tequise, the island's former capital, or visit the unusual house of the island's famed artist, the late Cesar Manrique, who designed it as part of the volcanic landscape.

Wished we'd done an excursion to a volcano, but made the most of the day. About a mile walk into town (Arrecife) from the port--all on one sidewalk, so it wasn't complicated. A couple of historic sites on the seafront (an old drawbridge and castle) and some shopping. Some high-end stores, cafes, outlets, and souvenir shops, so there's something for everyone.

Walkable into Arrecife Town. Beautiful Marina with shops and cafes. We took the hop on hop off sightseeing train which let us get around and see things which were slightly further away
