Review summary
We would probably give this cruise a 3.5 out of 5 but we went with the lower because it didn't quite live up to our expectations. Since food seems to be the main focus on cruises, we thought the food was average. The specialty restaurants had good food but the buffet and main dining rooms were average. The ship was dated and though they might have upgraded the ship, they didn't seem to do that with the regular staterooms. The activities were ok and they had some good lectures which were appreciated. Communication needs to improve with special occasions. They forgot my wife's birthday on the day we scheduled it and then forgot it the next night even after I talked to a manager. He informed me that he put it in the system, but evidently didn't. We finally got it on the last night of our cruise after a friend of ours became insistent. The one saving grace for this cruise was the crew. Outstanding in every way from cabin attendants to servers.
