You also need to bear in mind any Sunday stops as you will get the same problem. Unless you are happy just to get off for a walk or stay on the ship it can be worth booking up excursions for thosecports. As for the afternoon closing when you are planning your days bear in mind that the ship may not change its time for Spanish stops when doing Canary cruises and so if you think you are arriving at 11, local time may well be 12 and already into Siesta time.

I suggested to my boss about adopting a European/African work-life balance which includes a 3 hour mid-afternoon siesta, and he said “Uhhhhhhhhh, NO!!!”
