I have sailed on 4 mega ships , Allure , Oasis , Symphony, and in Nov the Harmony of the seas . I don't want to come across as someone hard to please but to compare it against my other cruise experiences . Of all the 4 mega ships, this one i rate the lowest . I told people that if I had to rate it out of 10, I would give it 6 out of 10. The ship is beautiful, as they all are, and the service is great . The quality of food and entertainment lacked the quality other mega ships have or had . I'm not sure if the other mega ships have slipped as well because i sailed them before covid . I am a musician, and I love bands, and I did not enjoy the music on the ship. It was okie at best .The Broadway show Grease and Columbus Show was a snooze fest. The band in the promenade was horrible, and I couldn't bare to listen to them. Even Boleros Latin music was a disappointment. The dining room food is not what I was used to from being on other RC ships. The Windjammer, you can diffantly see major differences, and you were limited on the rotation of food they served as it was mostly the same every day . Overall, i enjoyed my cruise and don't like to complain about them because I consider myself to be fortunate to have an opportunity to cruise. After all it is a business, and I am a customer, and I have expectations, and if I pay my hard earned money, I want to make sure i am getting the value for my money. I have reconsidered my cruising options and will most likely move on from Royal Caribbean and sail on other ships .

Make reservations for EVERYTHING in the app before you board the ship. Doing that makes it much easier and you won’t have to stand in long standby lines.

Try to plan out your activities (entertainment) before you arrive as shows and restaurants are hard to book especially for the more popular ones.

Get the deluxe beverage package- drinks have increased astronomically in price over the past few years. Well worth it.

Don't spend extra money to eat at Chops Steakhouse...save it and eat at a nice steakhouse on land that serves better quality food.

Pace yourself. It's a giant ship with lots to do. Don't try to squeeze everything in all in the 1st few days. If you have never been on an Oasis class ship, watch you tube ship tour videos on it before you go so you can learn the ship as best you can before boarding. I recommend Harr Travel's videos. Danny is awsome.
