Ship tip

I have sailed on 4 mega ships , Allure , Oasis , Symphony, and in Nov the Harmony of the seas . I don't want to come across as someone hard to please but to compare it against my other cruise experiences . Of all the 4 mega ships, this one i rate the lowest . I told people that if I had to rate it out of 10, I would give it 6 out of 10. The ship is beautiful, as they all are, and the service is great . The quality of food and entertainment lacked the quality other mega ships have or had . I'm not sure if the other mega ships have slipped as well because i sailed them before covid . I am a musician, and I love bands, and I did not enjoy the music on the ship. It was okie at best .The Broadway show Grease and Columbus Show was a snooze fest. The band in the promenade was horrible, and I couldn't bare to listen to them. Even Boleros Latin music was a disappointment. The dining room food is not what I was used to from being on other RC ships. The Windjammer, you can diffantly see major differences, and you were limited on the rotation of food they served as it was mostly the same every day . Overall, i enjoyed my cruise and don't like to complain about them because I consider myself to be fortunate to have an opportunity to cruise. After all it is a business, and I am a customer, and I have expectations, and if I pay my hard earned money, I want to make sure i am getting the value for my money. I have reconsidered my cruising options and will most likely move on from Royal Caribbean and sail on other ships .

Stayed on the ship . Weather was a factor but turned out to be a lovely day. I have been to Rotan before, so it was fine to stay on the ship .

Perhaps, it's time for a change. Royal has the best entertainment though. In the past, NCL also had great entertainment but they have cut back this year as well. Also, sounds like it's time to try a different itinerary.

Why, what was wrong? Is it because its a mega ship?

Our last cruise was in November 2019, right before Covid. We were on the Allure and loved if. We loved all our10 cruises but I think the Allure was a sure favorite. We love cruising but medical issues have stopped us. Don’t know if we’ll ever be able to go again but cruising will always be the best vacation ever. Hope you enjoy any further cruises you take.

Sorry the “ no cutbacks” changes in service are catching up. Hope change of ships will help.
