Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

The quality of the food and food service was excellent . The nightly entertainment was outstanding . The ship was an older Royal, but it was a fantastic cruise. This was my first Royal Caribbean cruise and my best experience. I've made 10 other cruises ( Norwegian ,Carnival and celebrity). I highly recommend Royal Lines.

Excellent 1st cruise by jwdevalue20

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

This was my first cruise and not knowing what to expect I was could not be more happier. From the excellent staff who knew our names from day 1 too the awesome food choices including the three restaurants. We were never hungry and our drinks were always filled. The room attendants were always courteous and had our rooms cleaned every day and turn down service was great. We loved the days at port including CocoCay (bring your ownsnorkel equipment  you will be in the water all day long). Amazing views every night and lots to do during the days at sea. RC really set the bar high for me on this trip and I am already looking to book another with them. Enjoy your trip I am sure you will have the same experience we did.

wonderful experience by markcarrigg271

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Bermuda was beautiful.  The Bahamas was  congested, some construction and kind of dirty and rundown  around the port. Cococay was beautiful and well kept. The ship and the staff were neat, clean and very nice. The ship was very pretty. The food was great and plentiful.  Wonderful experience.

Anniversary Cruise on Grandeur of the Seas by treed06

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

My wife and I were celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We picked the cruise because we wanted to spend time together and to relax. This trip definitely provided that. We enjoyed the days at sea to unwind. The cruise had plenty of entertainment and something for everyone. We enjoyed our trip to Bermuda. It is a beautiful island and the people are very friendly. Would definitely love to visit Bermuda again. Ship is older and doesn't have some features of newer ships. This was not a problem for us. This was our first cruise with Royal Caribbean. It was a pleasant experience and would consider cruising with them again.

What we learned to ask - next time! by kmarino61

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

Generally speaking, this was a good cruise - the time on Bermuda was fabulous. We have two general comments - that we wish we would have asked about during the planning stages.

1.  The ship was a bit smaller than most and there wasn't a whole lot of teen activities - we have 3 teens and the time at sea got to be long for them.

2.  The drink packages.  We were approached to purchase drink packages before we got on the ship.  We were excited to be starting our adventure and apparently didn't quite understand the full cost of the packages we purchased.  We purchased the $20 "regular" package for our kids - but every time they attempted to get their "cups" filled - the machines were empty - so they didn't drink $20 per day.  My husband and I purchase the $70 "ultimate" package - there is no way we could possibly drink $70 of anything each day.  We thought we were purchasing these packages ($20 and $70) for the entire time - not a per day charge.  If someone one told us:  as suite members - we received free drinks on the concierge lounge, and the kids had access to drinks (lemonade, milk, water) anyway - we wouldn't have spent over $1,000 on drink packages.  This is disturbing because there were many places along the way where someone could have contacted us and said, "We see you're not using your packages to their full potential, are you sure this is the package for you?"  Our sea pass cards were swiped every single time we used them for drinks - so "someone" knew what we were spending.

Loved the cruise to Bermuda! by isles1982

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

We had 14 family members together on the cruise, and we had a great time. The service on the Granduer of the Seas was first class! The food was excellent! I like having the drink package, which made it very easy and I didn't have to worry about my bar bill. I wish the cruise could have been one day longer. We seemed rushed on time when we were in port. My one pet peeve, was the constant selling of the "other" restaurants on the cruise ship. This should have been included as an option like the drink packages...all in all, it was a time to remember, and I would recommend this cruise to everyone.

My awesome Trip by annamroz704

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

My favorite part of the trip was Bermuda.  The service on the ship was incredible.

There was always something to do.  The comedians were extremely funny, Everyone on board was helpful and went out of there way to make us feel welcome.  The ship was clean.  The staff did not pressure you into buying pictures or buying anything like the resorts do.

Not the worst, not the best by Topsailgal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

If I could give this cruise a name, I would call it - Meh! This ship is a smaller ship for Royal Caribbean.I think that affects the amount of things you can do. It was a rocky voyage, which also affected on ship activities. Compared to other cruises, I didn't feel like this one made you feel special. It had more of a herding of cattle feel. The food was not great, with the exception of the pastries. Maybe get the extra expensive dining package and you will get better quality food. Bermuda is lovely. I wish I had more time there. I would like to go back but just not on this ship.

Great TIme by ConnieHughes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

The staff was awesome.  Our waiters (Alex and Victor) were a delight. I can not remember the name of our cabin attendent (room 2058) but he took very good care of us.

There is one thing that can be improved on.  The only place to get water and ice tea is at the Windjammer.  A beverage bar mid ship would be appreciated. In addition when I did make the trip up to the Windjammer, the outside beverage and ice machines did not work and the WIndjammer was closed. There should be more options for those of us that do not drink soda.

I realize the ship is older but the public restrooms at time had unpleasant orders.

Very Comfortable Cruise by slaughterhome

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

I would recommend this cruise to anyone who may have mobility issues.  The entire crew has been very helpful in many ways to accommodate anyone with mobility issues. The ship is not so large that one cannot walk from one end to the other without difficulty.  Everything is very convenient from either elevator.

A cruise to remember! by bonnie184

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

it was an awesome cruise! Anyone thinking about going up the coast of New England and Canada, go for it! We've been on several cruises to the Bahama's and I would rank this far better. It's beautiful and so many wonderful things to see, Boston, Portland, Bar Harbor, St John, Fundy Bay, Halifax and so much more! The excursions were wonderful! We did many hop on hop off excursions and saw it all! This is one cruise for the books!

If it could go wrong, it did! by bonbonmaloy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

favorite part was Staff, particularly Dining staff!  And spending time with family.

Honestly, I think we will explore other options.  This was my third cruise to Bermuda with RCI and first time booking w y'all. I will not do it again. Way too much to write and already did a survey for you and RCI. But not surprised!

Call me if you really want to know!

Cruise June 2016 by dowski68

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Bermuda

My family & I had a great time on the Granduer of the seas . Although I love cruising the bigger newer ships, we all had a really nice time cruising on Granduer out if Baltimore. It was one of the easiest ports to board a ship out of. Only one problem , lack of communication getting on board credit. We lost ours & we were disgusted because when we booked our cruise we were not told a form needed to be filled out to receive the OBC.  The whole process is shady & if cruise line offers OBC it should be automatically given upon check in.
