Review summary

Generally speaking, this was a good cruise - the time on Bermuda was fabulous. We have two general comments - that we wish we would have asked about during the planning stages.

1.  The ship was a bit smaller than most and there wasn't a whole lot of teen activities - we have 3 teens and the time at sea got to be long for them.

2.  The drink packages.  We were approached to purchase drink packages before we got on the ship.  We were excited to be starting our adventure and apparently didn't quite understand the full cost of the packages we purchased.  We purchased the $20 "regular" package for our kids - but every time they attempted to get their "cups" filled - the machines were empty - so they didn't drink $20 per day.  My husband and I purchase the $70 "ultimate" package - there is no way we could possibly drink $70 of anything each day.  We thought we were purchasing these packages ($20 and $70) for the entire time - not a per day charge.  If someone one told us:  as suite members - we received free drinks on the concierge lounge, and the kids had access to drinks (lemonade, milk, water) anyway - we wouldn't have spent over $1,000 on drink packages.  This is disturbing because there were many places along the way where someone could have contacted us and said, "We see you're not using your packages to their full potential, are you sure this is the package for you?"  Our sea pass cards were swiped every single time we used them for drinks - so "someone" knew what we were spending.

Our cabin was very comfortable for 5 and it offered a lot of amenities because it was a suite; amenities we weren't aware of (free drinks in the concierge lounge, mini bar (Water) available, etc).

Setting sail on Aug 13!! You have answered my question about these drink packages that I asked about in a post above!! I have another question though if you don't mind. Two people CAN share a $70 a day package? Does this include top shelf alcohol, umbrella drinks, wine? Thank you. I will now know what I'm buying!

Did u complain at guest services? They would have straightened everything out for you. However, I don't think it's realistic to expect someone to monitor what u are drinking & contact u about it. Just my opinion. Sorry.😎lol

I don't blame you for canceling when you weren't aware.

Our friends also thought the cost was for the whole week, not 1 day. I had done research on it & I told them I thought it was for 1 day. He went to guest services right away & they canceled the package & charged him for what he had purchased. The employees selling the packages can't speak English very well & are easily misunderstood. The kids could have gotten their drinks at any of the bars.

I have done tons of research. I think the price is outrageous for drinks, but my husband and I ate opting for the exact ones you did. The only saving have is with these packages, you don't have to have then your entire trip ( we are going for 7 data), as long a you have 4 consecutive days left. Whoever sold you the packages didn't do their job in explaining it.
