Freedom of The Seas - Western Caribbean by SuzyD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Freedom of the Seas is a beautiful ship. I will always go to Royal Caribbean from now on. The Western Caribbean was beautiful. Labadee, Haiti was incredible, Jamaica was gorgeous and Cozumel was fun. We missed Cayman Islands because of a storm. Besides that, all went great!

RCI seems to have a new policy to personalize the experience for the guest. It is working very well and makes cruising with RCI the best ever.

Captian Tor Olsen was an outstanding host and his Cruise Director Graham Seymour was the best and most entertaining director we've every had!!! Crew service was "Five Stars" and the Food was absolutely the best of "any cruise line" ever!

The Second Time Around Is Even Better! by GloriaP3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I just can't believe RCCL could get any better. The Freedom of the Seas was everything we expected and more. Talk about a wonderful, fun and gracious staff. This ship has it all. The cruise director was a hoot and the shows were great. Very clean, well kept and beautiful. Everything and anything you might have wanted to do was right there on board. Enjoyed every minute. Ready to go again!

Why not indeed! by DebbieM1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I LOVED this ship! The activities were many and they have done a wonderful job target marketing so that there was an area of enjoyment specifically themed for all age groups to enjoy. Personally, we liked the Schooner Bar with its trivia contests during the day and the piano player who entertained us at night. The dining room food was so delicious and delivered by our humorous waiter who remembered our names from day one. He made it worth our while to dress up after of a day of leisure and fun in the sun! Also, a huge thanks goes out to the staff in the Windjammer. They stopped to talk to everyone and in one case serenade us each morning. So, instead of being nameless waiters and bussers they became a new friend from another country. It was great! I highly recommend the Once Upon a Time show in the Arcadia Theater and the ice skating show in Studio B. Amazing, quality ice skating on the high seas! I cannot wait unil I can cruise again!

A Cruise to Remember by MarionR1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This ship is simply too beautiful for mere words. The Promenade will take your breath away. Our stateroom was extremely comfortable with ample room to relax and catch up on some news or simply read a book. The ice show is gorgeous and the other shows are very entertaining. This is our sixth cruise with Royal Caribbean and the best yet.

Disappointing Cruise by DarrelD

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my third cruise on Royal Caribbean since March of 2009. This very quickly became the most disappointing of all three. This ship although considered somewhat new is quickly showing its age. The sports decks, dining rooms and public areas are well maintained. The staterooms are quickly showing their age with worn carpet, peeling paint in the bathroom, fold out beds do not go into the ceiling as designed due to being bent. The lack of shopping onboard was very disappointing as well compared to the other cruises I have taken.

This ship was awesome - especially all of the activities, entertainment (Graham the cruise director is hilarious - MAKE SURE TO GO TO THE LOVE AND MARRIAGE GAME SHOW!), and dining.

The BEST Cruise ever!! by Susan12

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We have been on 5 cruises before and this ship was just WOW! We did have a balcony this time and we will never go to anthing less... Its the only way to cruise now! We loved the shows, very theatrical! and loved just hanging out on the pool deck! Dinner at the portofino was just delicious one night, next time we will do both specialty restaurants! There wasn't anything on the ship we didn't like it was just great! Oh and to top it off... My boyfriend proposed to me on the bow of the ship!!

Just What The Doctor Ordered!!! by Patrick74713001

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

From first setting foot on The Freedom of the Seas, we knew that we were in for a fantastic adventure. The ship was HUGE and everything was immaculately taken care of. Everyone, from the housekeeping staff to the Captain of the ship, was incredibly attentive to our needs and very warm and friendly in their interactions with us. Our Itinerary had to be revamped due to Hurricane Earl and that decision, for our safety, was made even before we departed. We were so thankful that the Captain placed our safety over everything else in making his decision. As a result, we had clear seas and sky for our entire voyage. The ship is too extraordinary to do it justice here... suffice it to say that we've never been on a more luxurious one. The entertainment was first class and our Cruise Director made our trip one to remember for years.

My wife and I really had a wondreful time ,the only draw back is when you have privite or outside services like messeges or privite excursions they tend to try and take advantage of you and over charge you.

A Truely Wonderful Cruise by FranR1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This is our 9th cruise with RCCL and this ship is spectacular. It is beautiful, full of great things to do, many which are included in the cost of the cruise, and a great staff that will do anything to make sure your cruise is memorable. The ship is spotless, the pool area is huge, and the rooms are great-both the bathroom and the sleep areas. Each time we went to an area of the ship-we were impressed with the design, decor, and layout.

Trip with primary age children by KarenW1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Freedom of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The size of the ship is amazing. There is alot to do. The food was very good in the Windjammer and what you would expect in the main dining. If you want my time dining do this immediately. It was gone by the first night. Sorrentos pizza was a favorite as was the coffee shops yummy desserts and sandwiches. We did not pay extra for any meals as there was enough variety with the ones we already paid for. *** Make sure you return your towels with the card it was checked out on. They tried to hit us with a $40 charge for towels we turned in on the wrong card. I recommend one check out on the first day and one check in at the end of the cruise with swapping towels during the duration of the cruise. Then there are no chances being made of if you were credited. . We are sailors with our own boat company back home and have taken many cruises. This ship compared to others prior was noisy in that it vibrated so things in stateroom would rattle while you are sleeping and a swaying motion was felt most of the time. If this would bother you I would not recommend this ship. I did not see people looking bothered by it overall. My son did throw up once because of it. Take sea bands just in case. Overall we had a wonderful time.
