Just What The Doctor Ordered!!!

Sail Date: August 29, 2010

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

From first setting foot on The Freedom of the Seas, we knew that we were in for a fantastic adventure. The ship was HUGE and everything was immaculately taken care of. Everyone, from the housekeeping staff to the Captain of the ship, was incredibly attentive to our needs and very warm and friendly in their interactions with us. Our Itinerary had to be revamped due to Hurricane Earl and that decision, for our safety, was made even before we departed. We were so thankful that the Captain placed our safety over everything else in making his decision. As a result, we had clear seas and sky for our entire voyage. The ship is too extraordinary to do it justice here... suffice it to say that we've never been on a more luxurious one. The entertainment was first class and our Cruise Director made our trip one to remember for years.

Pros: We loved everything about our Cruise!!

Cons: That it was only 7 days and not longer.

Recommends Freedom of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Everything was spotless and easily accessible.
Food and Dining
You will not be disappointed in this regard.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had a balcony room complete with King Size bed and a sitting area. We had more than enough room to enhance our trip.
Service and Staff
I'm not sure what I can add here...the staff was always friendly, engaging and quick to accommodate any needs we had. Smiles were seen everywhere!
We were very impressed with the caliber of talent on the ship. The shows we attended were certainly comparable to anything you would find on the strip in Vegas.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Due to Hurricane Earl, we didn't port in St. Thomas. Instead, we were taken to Grand Cayman Island.
Don't Miss: We thoroughly enjoyed the Submarine excursion...we also heard some great reviews of the Mexican Cooking Excursion.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
Again, due to Hurricane Earl, we didn't port in St. Maarten. We were taken to Cozumel, Mexico as an alternative and we're thrilled.
Don't Miss: We loved the Push, Pull and Swim Dolphin excursion. Well worth the money.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Beautiful beach and water!! We ate the barbeque provided and were very satisfied.
Don't Miss: Snorkling...
