Review summary

Everything about this cruise was wonderful! The service of the outstanding crew is a testament to the very professional service of the captain, hotel director and guest services manager who went "above and beyond" the call of duty to ensure that we had a great trip! I must admit that the air-conditioning in our suite and actually on the entire ship could have been better -- sometimes it was extremely hot and other times it was extremely cold. The 300+ children on the last 12 days was certainly adverse -- why on earth would parents allow their children to run up and down hallways at midnight is beyond me! We were certainly dis-appointed that we were unable to stop in Istanbul but totally understandable given the current unstable political turmoil that Turkey is facing on a daily basis. Nonetheless, this was a wonderful cruise and one that should be added to your travels! Please take care in booking during summer school holidays (mid-July to late August) unless you want to constantly be surrounded by un-ruly children.

Cabin / Stateroom

For the first 12 days we were in cabin 7078 and everything was fine but the air-conditioning; the last 12 days were spent in cabin 6087 and the air worked just fine! However, the balcony is totally visible to one set of elevators but we had no choice in relocating cabins.
