Bahamas Cruise by malcorn2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My husband and I took this 4 day 3 night cruise the end of March. It was our very first cruise we had ever taken. We were so glad we did it, we had so much fun. The boat is absolutely beautiful, and all the staff were wonderful. The day we got back we had already decided we will be doing another cruise next year, maybe a little bit longer one this time. The only thing we will do differently is the time frame in which we will go, will wait until the weather is a little bit warmer.

Good choice by lkw1

Staff and activities on board along with the shore excursions were excellent.  We had a junior suite number 8124 that I would not recommend.  The room was excellent; but, they were rolling carts on the deck above frequently and it woke us up at 5 am every morning.  I think they were moving food carts to the Windjammer restaurant from the galley.  We had a really good time; but, I would not recommend any alcoholic drinks at the bar.  Stick with the beer because they are very stingy when it comes to the alcohol.  I bought the unlimited package but they would not provide doubles to make it a regular strength drink.  Had to come back several times which made it a pain.  This was my first time with Royal Carribean and I would recommend it.  Just know what to expect going in.

Wonderful Weather, Wonderful Locations, Wonderful People by jseel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

As soon as you embark, you can feel yourself start relaxing.  The ship is just gorgeous, plenty of comfortable seats located inside and outside, around people and in out of the way places for some solitude.  Beverages abound, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic.  There are plenty of on board activities to keep everyone amused, plenty of pools and jacuzzi's for everyone to enjoy the sunshine.  There is an adult only pool with two jacuzzi's and it's own bar.  The staterooms are amble with plenty of hot water for showering.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, offering everything from ship directions for those of us that get easily lost to offering suggestions for shore excursions.

By the time we returned to port, I was totally relaxed and recharged.

Bahamas Cruise by djorde

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Greatly enjoyed this "first cruise" and was well pleased with the entire process of booking the cruise through Delta's SKYMILES Cruise team, included follow-up communications.  The ship's crew displayed outstanding professionalism and rapport; at the cruise terminal during the check-in process and onboard the ship throughout the cruise.  The ship's sailing and port calls schedule was on time, as also were all the daily onboard activities.  The stateroom accommodation was excellent as expected including daily room service.  A wide variety of daily activities to choose from, and the food was always outstanding.  Greatly enjoyed this first cruise and very grateful for really nice sailing weather.

Enchantment by mslkrichard

Nice ship, not new and glitzy, but nice.  Staff friendly and professional.  Cabin was nice and comfortable.  Coffee needs some work.  It was not hot enough and very poor flavor.  Would have enjoyed more activities for teens (AGES 14 AND 17).  Ice cream emergency--no Ben and Jerry's at all.  The machines on the deck never seemed to be working at the right time.

I love To Cruise But Not so Good Experience by msscott1975

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

For starters this has been a different experience prior to my other experiences. My balcony stateroom was so hot the entire time of my stay and I was really miserable. But I did not complain I just kept trying to bare with it since I was not plaining to be in the room the entire time. But the last night call front desk told they sent someone who work on AC for like an hour and the room was better for about an hour and it was back to being the hot box it was before. I loved my waiter Jefferson Japay he was the most nicest waiter I have encountered in a long time. Other staff we encounter was pretty nice as well. But the nail in the coffin for me was that we were leaving the ship on our way to baggage claim. They have these men standing around to see who would like help to cars, shuttle etc..Well my son put his luggage on the dolly and who would know an hour later when I am half way where going I get a call saying my son luggage is still there. So the lady on the phone trying to tell me that we left it. I told her NO we did not it does not make any sense what she is trying to tell me because we all claimed our baggage and if he did not have his we would have never left out of the building #1 and this man whom I tip a $20 took already look suspect. I feel like he kept my son bag and went through it. Then took it and some where so it can be found. Then everyone is trying to exclude them selves from this matter. By saying Royal Carribean has nothing to do with them baggage handlers that in customs. But yes they do because if it was not for Royal having a cruise ship their, it would not be a need for them.

So I am very pissed to say the least. AngryAngryAngry

I love cruising.  The boat was just the right size.  Not too big or too small.  Jeffrey, the cruise director, was the best ever!!! He made everything fun and funny.  The food was just OK but was presented in a beautiful manner.  My daughter and I won a music trivia contest and won...a yellow highlighter.  The prizes are funny.  Not so wild about Nassau but Cococay was wonderful.  There is plenty to do.  The best money I spent was for the floating mat to lay on in the water. The staff was lovely and tried very hard to meet your needs.  This was a fun cruise, but nothing compares to a Disney cruise.

Excellent spring break by kimniz

This was the first time taking my 6 year old daughter on a cruise. It was just the two of us, so I wasn't sure how it would go. She loved it and is already planning our next one. She enjoyed playing with new friends in the pool area and in the kids center. She begged to stay for late night activities each evening. Food was excellent. She's still talking about dessert.

Great short cruise. Service was great. Staff was wonderful. Ship had a little age but very nice. We did the eastern Caribbean a couple of years ago. Favorite is still St. Martin but would do Bahamas again.

Overall a very nice cruise! by cynthiafox

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was only my second cruise with Royal Carribean and it has been about 10 year since I cruised the last time. The weather was beautiful, the boat is beautiful and we were very pleased with all of the events and with the care and professionalism of the staff. We felt very well taken care of during our entire visit. During the last night of our cruise our room and several others were flooded when they drained the pools on the way into port. The staff was immediately responsive and within 45 minutes we were settled into another room and had been told that we would be compensated for our inconvenience. This all occurred around 3 a.m. But even the next day, during our departure, they apologized for any inconvenience and gave us VIP treatment upon exit. Can't say enough about how wonderful they were in a time of crisis. We will go again and I'm sure have an equally wonderful time!

Fun and Relaxing by swampya

Service was excellent. Cabin clean and tidy. Food superb. The only  negative thing we noticed was the pool in the solarium had a bit of mold around the edges. We would take this cruise ship again but for a longer time. Three days is just too short!

Don't take during spring break by drmijanovich

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship and crew were excellent, but it was the wrong time of year. Spring Break is a time for the youth and not for the retired. Music and noise were the call  of the day. Loud music till 11PM as well as the elevators in use by the young adults (where is the use of stairs not on the list for the young and let the older individuals have the use of the elevators). Short cruses mean low cost that opens the doors for the younger individuals.

The Perfect Getaway by punky8925

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I absolutely loved the experience I had with my daughter. From the beginning our state room attendant, Abraham Lincoln, greeted us with a friendly smile and our dining waiter, Fabiano, allowed us to enjoy ourselves and reminded us to just relax. This was our first cruise, and it was one that has us hooked on cruises. The shows were great, the staff was amazing, and the Bahamas was breath taking. While the food at the Fair Lady was pretty great, the buffet for lunch wasn't the greatest. I would have to say that the only thing that could have made the cruise even better, would have been if the quality of the food was a bit better. Overall though, the experience was unforgettable!

Enchantment of the Seas March 2, 2015 by halcat1

Two friends and I had a great time on the four night cruise out of Port Canaveral.  The crew was extremely friendly and helpful.

I would highly recommend Chops Grille if you would like a special dinner in a much quieter local than the main dining room.  Food in Chops was excellent and well worth the extra charge.

We were in one of the suite rooms with a large balcony which was wonderful for relaxing.

I have been on over many cruises with the following cruise lines, Princess, Carnival and the Italian cruise line.  My most fun has been on the Royal Caribbean. The courteous employees made sure I was completely satisfied with every experience.

I will continue to take Royal Caribbean in the future.
