Review summary

This was only my second cruise with Royal Carribean and it has been about 10 year since I cruised the last time. The weather was beautiful, the boat is beautiful and we were very pleased with all of the events and with the care and professionalism of the staff. We felt very well taken care of during our entire visit. During the last night of our cruise our room and several others were flooded when they drained the pools on the way into port. The staff was immediately responsive and within 45 minutes we were settled into another room and had been told that we would be compensated for our inconvenience. This all occurred around 3 a.m. But even the next day, during our departure, they apologized for any inconvenience and gave us VIP treatment upon exit. Can't say enough about how wonderful they were in a time of crisis. We will go again and I'm sure have an equally wonderful time!

There was a little rattle outside the window. I can imagine that on rough seas that may cause someone to not sleep well but we were fine. The phone also beeped every 20 minutes or so. We were told that it was a message signal but we did not have any messages. We just unplugged the phone. Also, the drains were a little backed up and there was an unpleasant smell from the bathroom drain. We put a wet towel over it and that helped but after the flood on the last night, it's obviously a plumbing problem that I'm sure could be addressed.

Ship tip

Eat in the dining room with the wait staff and ask for the same waiter. It adds a great deal to the experience and it was a lot of fun to see "our friends" each evening!

I keep reading about plumbing problems on cruise ships.  Glad that you were moved to another cabin.
