Bahamas Cruise

Sail Date: March 23, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

Greatly enjoyed this "first cruise" and was well pleased with the entire process of booking the cruise through Delta's SKYMILES Cruise team, included follow-up communications.  The ship's crew displayed outstanding professionalism and rapport; at the cruise terminal during the check-in process and onboard the ship throughout the cruise.  The ship's sailing and port calls schedule was on time, as also were all the daily onboard activities.  The stateroom accommodation was excellent as expected including daily room service.  A wide variety of daily activities to choose from, and the food was always outstanding.  Greatly enjoyed this first cruise and very grateful for really nice sailing weather.

Ship Quality
Clean ship with excellent facilities and outstanding crew.
Food and Dining
Excellent food selection and availability; clean, well-serviced dining facilities.
Service and Staff
Outstanding crew; especially the stateroom and lounge attendents.
Entertainment
Excellent variety of music and bands, on-deck activities, and evening shows.
Onboard Activities
Exercise and spa activities were excellent; also great opportunities to participate with other people.
Destinations and Excursions
Well-planned destination opportunities ashore; especially shopping and tours.
Cabin / Stateroom
As requested, the attendant separated the bed into two bunks to create a center isle, which made getting into bed much easier for us more elderly persons.
Port Canaveral, Florida
Being prepared for the check-in process made it go smoothly and was enjoyable.
Cococay (Cruiseline's Private Island)
Enjoyed the nice break ashore with beach and sunbathing opportunities.
Nassau, Bahamas
Greatly enjoyed the shopping opportunities; and also a glass-bottom boat tour.

Tip

Try to get an early front row seat in the theater for presentations and shows to increase opportunities to be a more active participant. Also be prepared for a really nice surprise upon retiring to the stateroom in the evening and discovering a different neatly folded towel art awaiting you.
