Very disappointed by dwoodman326

I was looking forward to trying a Royal Caribbean Cruise.  I have been on 9 other cruises with other Cruise Lines, but everyone kept telling me I had to try Royal Caribbean, they would not cruise with anyone else.  So I tried.

When we arrived at our room,  the bathroom had a musty odder,  the bathroom fan did not work.  Then 2 out of the 4 day cruise our toilet would not flush.  Then the light on side of the desk/dresser area did not work.  Their were not water glasses in our room the first night.  They don't give you ice buckets in your room.  The women's bathroom by the solarium was dirty.  The plastic holder on the wall that holds back for disposing famine products away in, were empty and disgustingly dirty.   A lot of the food that I got had very little flavor.  It was very bland.  The entertainment (shows), we went to 2, 1 we ended walking out on because it wasn't very good and the other was fair.  The pool in the solarium area was green.  When we rinsed our bathing suits out, it was disgusting.  We did not go in the pool again.  If this is what Royal Caribbean is like,  I will not be going on another cruise with them.

Mixed Feelings by ronaldcrawford

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Our Cabin person Mona was excellent.  She was so kind and attentive and always had everything taken care of before we ever thought to ask for it.  The boat was however too crowded and not enough amenities- pools for all the people, couldn't even find a deck chair on deck 9 on our cruising day- was soo hot couldn't even get in water in neither of the pools- no room. The activities directors were wonderful, lots of things to do inside and out- mainly inside this cruise due to all the people and 350 argentinian meances on the boat- always in the elevators- wouldn't let anyone in- rude to lots of guests- were extremely loud and all over everywhere.  This cruise was different than our first cruise on the Enchantment of the seas.  I had an experience in the windjammer with an employee and had my feelings hurt and reported it to the manager of the windjammer and he more then made it right- he was so wonderful and sweet to listen to me - this happened on the same cruising day- with all the overcrowding so it tipped me over the edge to crying- i was so upset  at how everything just was not like before- boat was overcrowded!!!  The manager treated me and my husband to dinner at Chops Grille- which was so elegant and wonderful- the food was divine- the staff was like family - so wonderful-- it made a bad day great.  The workers on the ship were all working so feverishly- trying to keep up but atmosphere on the ship seemed chaotic this year.    I have enjoyed most of our cruise this year with The Enchatment of the Seas but will try another ship next year- we are lookin now for our next adventure whatever it may be.

Afforadable Elegance by SwankyBash

My husband and I both enjoyed our cruise experience on the Enchantment of the Seas.  Like other reviews have noted, the boat has been updated in a lot of areas so you will find that some areas look more current than others but it is all very well maintained.  The crew was courteous and attentive and the cruise director Marc was perfectly fit for his job.  The ship was VERY CLEAN and I would definitely recommend it for that the price/value.  I believe this ship is perfect for a 5 night or under experience.

Knowable & friendly customer service. Breakfast & dinner was great. Staff & servers where more than helpful & friendly. Staff at lunch bar area (pannini, cakes, fruit cups & etc) kiosk wasnt so friendly, but I had lunch there wvery day. Gotta have my fruits & pannini sandwiches. I am overall satisfied with all the cruise had to offer. The rock climbing was closed the whole time & 2 out of 4 Jacuzzis where closed for service at night. Bars close early, considering you stuck on sgip all night. Couldn't get a drink nor water.

First Cruise by dawnfrost

My first cruise was excellent.  Along with my daughter, we truly enjoyed our time together and on the ship.  The service was great, our room was great and the food was delicious.  We enjoyed the show provided on the last evening, but had to change our dining time.  Perhaps two shows should've been scheduled by the ship.  Overall, excellent.  Would recommend to anyone.Big Smile

What an Amazing first cruise by rmcgee6333

The highest praise for this experience. We had a great time. The crew and wait staff could not have been more helpful. Our cabinet helper Ramon was the absolute best person for us. He gave us great tips on what to see and how to enjoy the beaches.

Fun time! by pieceofheaven13

Boarding the ship was quick and easy.  Ten minutes tops and we were on board. After a quick lunch at the Windjammer we were in our room.  I was a little disappointed to see the beds were not set up properly, ours being a Mother/Son trip we required separate beds, however Ramon our cabin steward took care of this when we went to dinner.  We dined every night at My Fair Lady.  The cuisine was excellent as always.  To my delight hey had escargot which was not available on our last cruise.  The wait staff was very good but I found myself waiting multiple times for 10 to 15 minutes after completing a course.  I got a little annoyed on our last day when the table on either side of us got their dessert menu a good 10 minutes before us and we were done eating as well.  This was really the only part of the cruise I was not overly happy with.  Our cabin steward regaled us with multiple towel animals which made me smile because without knowing he made an elephant for my birthday which happens to be my favorite animal.  At the Windjammer there was a female employee who worked the entrance.  She would serenade the customers as they entered and she had a lovely voice...wish I got her name. The entertainment was nice although the farewell show was the same as the one I saw 2 years ago.  Still a good show and had a good time. The staff always tries to make it an enjoyable experience for everyone and I have never had a bad cruise.  Our disembarkment from the ship went just as smoothly as the boarding.  Looking forward to our next trip

It was a great experience! If you are not a party person, definitely you should stay at a balcony room. Ocean view is priceless, especially in a morning with coffee!

A nice little vacation...but ship needs some maintenance. by jwampler2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had an enjoyable vacation and the food was fabulous!  Although the ship is very nice, we did see areas around the ship where maintenance was needed. Especially noticed this in the hot tub at the Solarium pool, it had a very large crack in the seat so when you turned on the jets, the water sprayed out from the crack instead of the jets. Since this area was used mainly by adults and much quieter, this was a bummer because we had to go to the main pool and use those hot tubs.

Wonderful 4 day Cruise by michaelprevost

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The overall experience aboard the Enchantment of the Seas was fantastic.  The ship truly has a great staff from the cabin, dinning as well as the wait staff.   However, the lines seem to be rather long in terms of the wait at customer service.

The cruise was great!!  Myself and my family had a great time.  It was my six year old son's first cruise and he loved it and wanted to go on another one as soon as it was over.  I will be taking him on another one soon.

Excellent cruise by tcirmotich

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship was beautiful, staff was awesome in all ways. Cabin was beautiful, balcony is the way to go. Food was very good and always available and the drinks were great. We also took a shore excursion called "Discover Atlantis" and it was worth so much more than we paid for. Way over exceeded my expectations. The cruise was just perfect all the way around. A Wonderful Cruise Experience by kncastonguay

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This is my first cruise experience. My boyfriend and I have a great experience every time and every where we go on the ship. Room is clean and comfortable. The food and drink option are great. We enjoy music and dancing, and the clubs on the ship were great. We also enjoyed our excursion. We sailed on a fully booked cruise and the consequence were the pools were so crowded during the day.

A suggestion Another improvement that RC can do on 'public' computer service is adding a timer on the internet use so that user will be aware on the the time spend and the cost. Also a confirmation that the user has log out successfully. My bf was concerned that he had not logged out successfully and somebody was using the computer on our room account. Luckily it did not happen.

Good first time experience by jfjb96

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Made a good first impression on us. Hope to do it again. Great food, overwhelming amount of things to do if you wish, we mainly relaxed. Cabin was clean and we were well looked after. We wanted a cabin that would be quiet and pretty much got that thanks to the agent who helped us. Wished to have stayed one more day at Coco Cay, great beaches, food, and snorkeling. Nassau was just ok, we didn't not do a lot of activities there, went on a 2.5 hour guided city tour and shopped a little. Over all though it was good experience for us.

Nickle and Dime is the name of the game by gwright1974

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The cruise price does not reflex what you will pay in the end. Add $60.00 for parking, 14$ a day for gratuity(that is for each day, including the day you leave the boat at 7AM ) over price and over taxed drinks and quickly we began to figure that this was not for us. Most of the food is terrible and the pool on the boat is smaller than my condo complex pool. My very first and last cruise

My husband and I were looking for a last minute cruise to celebrate Father's Day. We found and it exceeded our expectations of relaxation! From arrival to Port Canaveral to boarding the ship! The expedient check in and settling into our room was beyond excellent. Cant think of one complaint everything was perfect including the weather!
