Great staff! by csanchez78

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Staff was amazing and did anything they could to assist or help us during the cruise. Very helpful and patient. I just wish the people that paid for the cruise were nearly as nice as they were.

Cruise review by bayhood1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The room was nice, our room attendant was outstanding. We enjoyed the food both at the buffet service at the windjammer and in the formal dining area. Our servers at the dining area were outstanding. Our favorite part of the cruise was the live performances in the Orpheum theater. Our experience at Cococay was fair. Nassau seemed pretty run down with alot of emphasis on tourist junk and high end jewelry. I would have liked to spend more time on historical features. Overall we did enjoy the cruise and would go again.

Bahamas Cruise by timm162

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We arrived for boarding about 1PM. The lines seemed long, but the whole process only took about 30 minutes. We had read reviews about how much updating the ship needed; we thought the ship seemed just fine.

We ate in the main dining room each evening using "My Time" option. Our servers were pleasant and friendly. The food for the most part was very good.

The entertainment was similar to what we have encountered on other cruises. We had a comedian and a juggler who were both entertaining. The staff singers and dancers were typical cruise ship--good but not fantastic.

This was a four day cruise that stopped at Coco Cay and Nassau. Coco Cay was a fun beach day with  a decent lunch  provided. The snorkeling was pretty sad from the  shore, but the water was amazingly clear. There were plenty of chairs. We didn't  do any excursions. Nassau reminded me of most other Caribbean ports; plenty of shopping if you were in the market. We booked a snorkeling trip outside of the cruise line.

Nice cruise by revsmu

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This would be a good cruise for a first timer.  I found it enjoyable but would probably not do this one again.   Our dining room waiters were great (Francisco and Alberto).  On the whole the staff was helpful and efficient. The food was excellent.  My biggest complaint was the internet.  I paid $120 and was not able to get on for more than a couple of hours.  Not worth the price.

Great Vacation by amazingcrys

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My overall experience was great! The people/staff on this ship were very friendly and the experience pleasurable. Entertainment and food was good. I believe that they could have had more pool side activites and less movies playing on the screen. Visiting Cococay was very nice and relaxing. Entering the stateroom it seems like it needs some updating. You can tell that it was worn out causing the stay to be less comfortable.

The good outweigh the bad by fmd0460

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The cabin was very comfortable.  The food at the Buffett left a lot to be desired.  However, the main dinning room and specialty dining room food and service was exceptional.  The crew and staff were professional and helpful.  Disembarkation seemed somewhat unorganized.  However, due to high tide, there was only one gang plank available.

Beware of noise in Suites under the pool. by Zus

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I wish that I had payed attention to prior reviews that spoke of noise on top floor. We were in a suite and awoken by pool party from 11-1am. We like to sit on our balcony and could not do that. Noise also comes down pipes. The decibel level of the music and outdoor movies was too loud. Hotel manager made up some to us. We go on a cruise to relax, I don't mind partying all over the ship but, don't bring it into my room.

Wait staff for dinner was great as always. Cabin steward too.

Great Weekend Getaway by carolandmanfred

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Had been a long time since cruised on RCCL and I was not disappointed. Overall had a great weekend but some things have changed. I found the stateroom to be smaller than I am used to but adequate. The shower curtin was about 3 inches shorter than the shower and everytime you took a shower there was a flood, whose idea was that? The food was ok, and comparable to other cruise lines. Thought the entertainment was very good and there was also something going on, this was a plus for me. Overall it is a good cruise and I would recommend it.

Great time at the Ports / Should have taken a different ship by jabkt5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

First of all we had a great time at Coco cay enjoying the water, I recommend the $18 floating mat. We also walked all around the island.  We loved Nassau as well, we rented a scooter for the entire day and drove over to paradise Island right up onto public beach access. We were directly on the beach in front of Atlantis . Beautiful. We drove back ( be careful if you do this) people there can't drive. We toured the city and parked , walked and shopped. Met amazing people. Great day!

Now the Ship- when we boarder we had 3 rooms. One of which was to be set up for 4 people . Well it was not. After going directly to guest services about the room not being correct, they actually got an attitude with us. Then told us it would be fixed by 4:00. At 4:00 we checked nothing done. So we went back, the head person at guest services then all but yelled at us that he was never told and that it wasn't his problem. I explained, How do you expect 4 couples to sleep on one bed? He said he will get it fixed. 2 hours later. Nothing done. We had at this point driven over night to get to Florida and all just wanted sleep. We went to the deck supervisor then. He explained that no one from guest services ever told him about the problem and immediately got to work on it. It was almost 10:00 pm. This same room never could get the AC under 85 degree and no one would fix it. The only great service we got was our head server in the main dining room! The food in the my fair lady dining room was great! The ship is very Dated and has very minimal shops. The comedy show was ok, the love and marriage game show was the best entertainment . Our only regret is the ship !

Wondeerful, Relaxing Vacation by rainbocow

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My husband and I chose this ship because of the price and because it was small. We wanted a romantic weeke d trip without all the major bells and whistles of the bigger ships. It was perfect for a couple without kids along. There was a kids club but my kids would have been bored on this ship. The cruise dorector Marc, was exceptional! Bing Bong!

Cruise by ormond203

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The crew was very nice and helpful. Dinner menu never changed and was average not enough fish or chicken choices. Casino was ok but would save my money in the future never saw anyone win anything. Shows were late and short. Wouldn't be quick to go on this ship again.

Great vacation gateway on nice cruise ship by free4wind

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was very good experience with this cruise line! Nice and clean ship, very friendly crew members; perfectly maintained stateroom! Lot's of entertainment on board - live music, shows, movies on the pool deck. Delicious food prepared in front of you by cooks from different countries! Cococay Island - perfect spot, if you want go snorkeling, do parasailing or run jet ski; or if you prefer just relax on the beach - everything is there. Live music for entertainment, food and drinks served right on the beachfront. Day in Nassau was different - we booked shore excursion (swimming with the sharks - that was awesome!) Evening in the city is kind a quiet - stores closing at 5pm... But bars and Atlantis are open.

But overall - cruise was great, and I'm recommending to take it!

Enchantment of the seas review by 18james18

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I am returning to work today and have a ton to catch up on but wanted to take a minute to post a review for others.

The check in and out process was very easy.

Food - The windjammer buffet was always crowded but the food and service was decent.  Our main dining team exceeded our expectations.  The food in the main dining room was pretty good.  Variety was ok as well.  Chops quality meat (filet) was very good and a nice change up for the one night.  Our server was also very friendly here.

Room - we booked 2 jr. suites for 5 of us.  It was very clean and always kept.

Kids Club - 2 boys ages 10 and 6 loved it.  It is an older ship so the club wasn't very big but the kids loved the sports activities and went to the club each day.

Coco Cay - very clean and a nice day off the ship.  the kids and I did the aqua park.  it was a little tough for the 6 yr old but he still enjoyed it.

Overall the service was excellent.  The food was good.  The ship is a little older but well kept.

Quick cruise getaway by rcnelson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We really enjoyed the cruise.  This was our first Royal Caribbean cruise, and we will certainly cruise with them again. The embarkation was extremely organized and well run. We flew into Orlando, and we took the RC ground transport to and from the ship. Seamless.

Once onboard, the bars were open, as was Windjammer Restaurant. One of the negatives about the ship was the Windjammer for us. It was chaotic. The grill portion has a line, but the rest of the food areas do not. This results in people jostling and budging to get food. It was then difficult to find a table. The staff, although busy, was not overly attentive. We were basically done eating before we got something to drink. We chalked it up to the timing of when we got on board.

The safety muster was no fun. It was very hot out, and this ship makes you stand outside for the whole thing, 25 minutes. Most of the other cruise lines now muster inside. You do not need to bring your life jacket.

The first dinner in My Fair Lady, the primary restaurant, was excellent food and excellent service by Luis and Merwin. Elegant setting and well done.

The next morning we were at the RC private island, Coco Cay. We tried breakfast at the Windjammer. It was again total chaos. Understaffed. We never returned to this restaurant. We need to tender into the island. They had the line well-staffed to prevent budgers. The tender boats were big. The island itself was fine, typical of most of the private islands. Unfortunately, it rained heavily while we were there, so we only stayed for about two hours. On the tender back to the boat, the sun had re-emerged. Despite the fact that there were several tender boats, they insisted on filling our boat to the maximum. We were seated in the still sun for 20-30 minutes. Could not figure that out. Several people looked like they were going to be sick. They should have left with a partial boat, as there was no line to get on. They just kept waiting as people trickled in so they could fill the boat. No need for that.

Dinner that night was at Chops Grille. Excellent food and a great server - Asian Bryan. The head chef on the ship also was onsite and spent a nice amount of time chatting with us.  This dinner was a highlight.

We did not do any of the onboard entertainment, as it typically seemed to conflict with our dining schedule.

The next day was in Nassau. We decided the Park Café for breakfast in the Solarium. Peace. Quiet. Not as much of a selection, but this became our breakfast spot for the remainder of the trip. The Solarium is a nice quiet area for those without kids. Pool, snacks, and a bar are all right there. We hung out here when we were on the ship.

The off and on at Nassau was well run. The ship was docked, which made it easy. We just roamed, so cannot comment on any excursions. My wife did the spa when we got back onboard. She said it was a great massage, but was turned off by the extreme hard-sell at the end for their products. Be prepared for that.

That night was dinner at My Fair Lady. Again, very good. Same table and servers, and they remembered us even though we had done Chops Grille in between.

The next day was at sea. Very relaxing. Hung out mainly in the Solarium all day. Had a sit down lunch in the main dining room which was fine.  Dinner that night at My Fair Lady was again excellent.

The disembarkation was great. We did the carry off ourselves, which allows you to pack the morning you leave, as opposed to sticking your bags out in the hall the night before. If you can manage, that's the way to go.

Throughout the cruise, the staff members at all of the bars were excellent. Made an effort to get to know you. Our favorites were Schooners and R Bar. We also enjoyed the Viking at the top of the ship - we went before the music started thumping, and it was very peaceful. We went back when the music was playing, and it was a bit much for us, although the younger crowd would no doubt enjoy it. They have a DJ.

Demographically, I sensed that there were a lot of folks onboard over 65. There were also a lot of families, however. Saw several honeymooners, but not so much a crowd of 20 and 30-somethings.

There is a casino, but we did not partake.

Amazing time and staff by dawnlevian

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a wonderful time on the cruise. The staff is wonderful and the ship is beautiful. Even for being one of the older or smaller ships I was in awe of the beauty and size of it and we had a hard time leaving. I am already trying to plan my next trip.
