Not impressed 😕 by natalieargl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Let's start with the positive .... good entertainment, and people were attentive. That's about it....

From the time our uber driver dropped us off, there was no clear guidaness of were we had to go. No one was assisting us. When we approached someone to ask them for directions, he didn't even welcome us or anything. Simply to our luggage and asked for a tip. When we got on the cruise, there were tons of people by the pool area, and there was good entertainment. We were very hungry, so we waited in line for the food. When it was our turn, they ran out of food, and there was only hot dogs and burgers that didn't look appetizing at all. Food was terrible on this trip.

Overall cleanliness of the ship was disgusting. I keeped on sanitizingmy hands all the time because the public areas were not as clean as they should be. When we we tried to look out the window to see the view, the windows were so dirty, we couldn't enjoy the view. Also, the cabin bathroom was terrible. Shower floor was dirty and had to use flip flops to shower. Cabins seriously need a renovation.

This weekend trip was too much money for the quality that we received.

Would not not recommend this to anyone.

Royal Carribbean Enchantment of the Sea Cruise by ekimbrough55

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I enjoy this cruise because it was for my 8 year old grand daughter birthday and her first cruise.  We enjoyed all aspects of the cruise.  Would do it again.

A bad representation of a cruise by dwankowski

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The food choices were limited and the quality was extremely poor.  The ship was over crowded and had to wait in lines for everything.  Excursions were much more expensive than other cruiselines.  Recommend to choose another cruise line over Royal Caribbean.

old ship by bsyllwasschy

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Ship is getting old. Shower in room didn't work, air condition didn't work and room was not clean.

Last minute change of itinerary, customer service was not helpful with changing our pre-booked activities.

muy buenas vacaciones, muy buen servicio y una gran experiencia. Ojala puedieran renovar algunas partes del crucero que ya se ven un poco viejas como por ejemplo en el area de las piscinas.

Nice to be on a less-crowded cruise, but communications, entertainment, and staff disappointing by guzdial

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

When you leave Miami as Hurricane Matthew is hitting the Florida coast, your 2800 passenger ship leaves with 1600 passengers.  It was nice to be on a less-crowded ship.

Disappointments:

- We were told by email that we couldn't check in until 5 pm.  Reality was that we checked in fine at 3:30 pm.

- We didn't know that we were skipping Coco Cay until we go on board.  That seems unfair.

- I got targeted by the comedian during the opening show -- made fun of my laugh, my clothes, even my name.  ("Mark? Did he just bark at me?"). What's the point of having a comedian attack people on vacation?  He was stupid and not funny, but it still ruined my night on vacation.  Why hire that kind of comedian for a cruise ship?

- The staff were clearly unhappy with the smaller crowds.  The dining room staff were bored.  I had a bar staff tell me that my wife and I that we were "losers" for doing so poorly on trivia.

Birthday Vacation by jackiesha123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Favorite part of the cruise was my fair lady dining. The waiters Alberto and Daniel was excellent. A part from the pool deck noise that echoed in our room, also, the Buffett food was horrible. Yes I would recommend it to others because the fair was good.

The Hurricane Trip by KevinKennett

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This cruise was scheduled to go to the Bahamas and two other ports. With Hurricane Mathew we diverted to Cozumel Mexico to avoid the weather. Most would say that going to Cozumel is a better deal for the cruise, but I have been to Cozumel a few times. This was the first time cruising with Royal Caribbean and was looking forward to the up talk of the cruise line. We have always cruised with Carnival Cruise line and I will say we will stay with Carnival. The crew was okay, but not helpful. The dinning crew (Mr. Mario and Mr. Bing) were excellent and very attentive. Thank you for that experience. The room was okay, but a little small compared to the Suite that Carnival provides. All said I would go for a discounted price without my children, but never again with my children. Ages 9, 19, & 13.

Enchanment of the Seas - what to expect from a hospitality guy's opinion by kalogerosCouple

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My wife & I just returned from a vacation 4 days.  Our iteneary was

changed due to Matthew Hurricane.  We called the evening before embark.  still not know what ports and asked the lady if we need to cancel & she rudely stated "there be a "100 percent penalty" - Not mentioned that they felt safe or ensure us . anything!  Very bad communication skills.  We wemt based on our research.  They all about the money - tried to sell us everything once onboard $$$$$.  The staff was excellent once onboard. Friendly, genuine, & personalized service! The food was disappointing, menu was outdated , escargot, clam chowder, sirloin steak, etc

extra charge for filet or lobster. The Buffet was crowded, no seats daily, poor choices and ran out off protein if you can believe that! All 3 of them!  Very upsetting

the ship was well designed & stately.  The spa was great & very good service but very pricey& I even been to the best and it was more than that!  Overall I give them 3.5 stars - I could not squeeze the 4th star out!

Sorry about Mathew by yheier09

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We were affected by Hurricane Mathew and directed too Cozumel for only a few hours.  Not enough time to see the island.  Missed Nassau and Key West.

Never received our on board credits.  After being on board for the entire cruise we had to wait 2 hours in lounge waiting to clear customs due too 3 boats docking at the same time.  We had rooms on deck 7 and they did not go by decks it was a mess.  Bad experiance for first time.  Too many lines.

oct cruise vatcation by littlemoneygree

price was right but bad timing.  I must plan better next time  Not real impressed with ship's rooms. We had a balcony and it was rather small compared to other ships we have been on. Crew/staff was very good, no issues there. Was disappointed that no lobster was served! First time ever on any cruise that if you wanted lobster you had to pay for it!!

Enchatment of the Seas by jacquelynthomas

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I understand mother nature calls at times.  Our cruise should have been cancelled or at least a refund offered.  Instead, during the hurricane, we were re-directed to Cozumel and then had 3 days at sea.  The port fees and excursions were refunded but that's it.  I would never book a cruise to Cozumel.  I've been there 5 times already.  I felt like I was held captive and even when we made it back to port late, we all missed our flights back home but Royal Caribbean didn't offer any concessions. Not happy this time but I will cruise again.

Enchantment of the Seas cruise by pgalioto

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

One thing I would like to point out is this is my and my wife's 4th cruise on Royal Caribbean. The service was excellent as usual. The food quality on this trip was not. In fact we have noticed a decline in food quality over the last few cruises. The other thing that we were not to pleased with is we were originally going to stop at 3 destinations. Due to the hurricane this was changed to 2. Understandable under the situation. What was not understandable is spending 3 1/2 days of a four day cruise on the ship and only going to Cozumel. We passed Key West twice but did not stop. When in Cozumel we left the ship first thing in the morning got back around 1:00 PM. Then were told that we would be there until 6:30 pm. At that point it was a little late to make plans to do anything we would have liked to. If we know at first we had more time we could have planed accordingly. I understand about time restrictions but I believe either poor planing or cost became more of a deciding factor. With this very disappointing trip it will be difficult to consider Royal Caribbean on future cruises. One other thing is we feel the Windjammer is to small for all the passengers on the ship. It took a very long time standing with your food in hand to find a table.I believe the ship was increased in size some time ago to allow for more passengers. I don't think the other aspects of the ship were increased it allow for the extra people.

Not Doing Royale Carribean Ever Again by johnRad

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The staff is HORRIBLY trained and there was just so many inconveniences on the trip. They lost our baggage and we had to spend the first three hours finding them across the ship ourselves and lugging them to our rooms, after paying gratuities up front. You couldnt get ice or water yourself anywhere and we were instructed by Guest Services to call room service...the water and ice didnt show up to our room until two hours later. The food was mediocre at best and the drinks were overpriced on board. Entertainment flat-out sucked.

Go Carnival for your cruise. I did a 5-day Western Carribean with them months ago and there is absolutely no comparison, that company and their staff just takes their guest experience a lot more seriously. Don't know about Norwegian or Princess, never cruised with them, but even still, would take a chance with them over Royale Carribean.

I had a great time!  My favorite was the '70s party.  The staff was very professional, including our room attendant, Romeo.  He was so attentive and thoughtful.  Wish we could have brought him home!!

I would highly recommend this cruise to anyone! The food and entertainment options were numerous and all exceptional. This was the first cruise I've ever experienced so I didn't really know what to expect, but I was definitely blown away. My friends and I enjoyed every minute of it!

Three nights to Nassau by chasfeldman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The staff are fantastic. Accommodating, friendly, and they go out of their way to make sure you are enjoying yourself.

The ship and staterooms need updating. There was rust in bathroom at trash container, no night table on one side of bed(had to use floor for watch, Kleenex,etc.).

Private island was a disappointment. Water cloudy and beach was dirty.

First timer, hooked! by szpp

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Loved the 6pm seating, wonderful food and can ask for as much of anything you want on the menu.  Good table mates.  Service by staff was outstanding!  Loved Coco Cay, seeing the fish.  Liked exploring the island and their nature trail.  Rained in Nassau, so didn't do as much as we hoped, but spent most of our time in the casino.  Enjoyed the professional photography.

Service and personnel was excelent however Casino slot machines were a scamp, no way to win or at least to amuse you for a while. My wife and me spent more than 2000 $ and any slot machine pay anything just gulping our money
