Review summary

The staff is HORRIBLY trained and there was just so many inconveniences on the trip. They lost our baggage and we had to spend the first three hours finding them across the ship ourselves and lugging them to our rooms, after paying gratuities up front. You couldnt get ice or water yourself anywhere and we were instructed by Guest Services to call room service...the water and ice didnt show up to our room until two hours later. The food was mediocre at best and the drinks were overpriced on board. Entertainment flat-out sucked.

Go Carnival for your cruise. I did a 5-day Western Carribean with them months ago and there is absolutely no comparison, that company and their staff just takes their guest experience a lot more seriously. Don't know about Norwegian or Princess, never cruised with them, but even still, would take a chance with them over Royale Carribean.

Finally received service with a smile les huffing and puffing overall. Never mind the fact we paid for our cruise with gratuity and typically tip beyond that to our cabin attendants etc. Ship was older and lots of features out of order..... no rudeness but good luck Assuming, Lance 😄

Generous tipper. Our service was slow, sloppy and all around got the impression they didn't want to be there or we " inconvenienced " them by asking for anything. Our initial strategy was extra kindness, then we just called him over and said " we just appreciate your service and we are big foodies, hope this ($20) expresses that." And then he was all yes sir no sir, and $10 each night !

Actually Lancerlot001 my husband and I sat by ourselves & had no passengers joining us. Our demeanor and overall pleasantness was just fine. We had nothing to complain about nor unreasonable expectations. Having been in the hospitality & service industry as well as being business owners, we are both aware of how to treat our wait staff. i went on enchantment last week oct 7 the ship inside was nice and clean most of the staff was great but our room attendant could have been better and the bathroom had a foul sewer smell but to be honest when we got to port in miami there was a strong sulfuric smell around the ship dont know if it was the water or what i also noticed the same smell at port in nassau the only real complaint was not enough staff on the pool bar or on deck so drink wait times where a little long this is the only real let down i was a heavy carnival cruiser and this was my first rci cruise wil definitely cruise with them again it was not as rowdy as the carnival cruises i have been on

Maybe you and the rest of your table were rude, you get what you sow.. Just a word of advice, Never ever piss off your waiters...

I was on the enchantment in August 2015 and was really not impressed it was outdated customer service took forever and our dining staff was rude and unaccommodating until we gave them a $20 tip every night!

We were on Enchantment in April 2016 and had a great experience. Room attendant was awesome and food was fantastic. Entertainment was very good. Glad you're going to Carnival.

I was on RCL Enchantment in April 2015 & had a complete opposite experience. From our cabin Stewart to dinning room staff, to Guest services, couldn't be more helpful. Entertainment was superb with something happening in every bar or theatre. We purchased the beverage package prior to leaving so paying for drinks wasn't an issue. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

You aren't àlone in your opinion - although you can find folks who love Enchantment and those who hate it. It is one of the oldest ships in the fleet so I wouldn't judge RCI by it. I have always had great service on it though. At the right price, we find Enchantment a great way to get to CoCo.
