The was my first cruise. I was very impressed and would definately recommend Royal Caribbean to others. The staff was so helpful and the moment I boarded, all my worries and stress went away.

First time cruisers should definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean. The amenities of the ship, together with the quality of service provided by the staff generates a lasting positive impression of the entire cruise experience.

Can't wait to go back! by SchaeL

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship seemed to be well cared for. There were a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. The Broadway production was the only weak link here. Voice and sound quality in the theatre were both low. Carly, the cruise director, was an awesome hostess. The fitness center is hard to find and SMALL. I wish we had made it to the climbing wall. The eating facilities were incredible. I don't know how they do it! Two of the three ports, we had to tender into. It took too long to do this!!!!!!!! Many people missed their shore excursions starting times. We were hours late off the boat each tender.

fabulous time by RobertB10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Wonderful time...the waiter at dinner ('Cosmo') was terrific..told jokes, performed magic tricks...a joy to have around. The waitress in the centrium and later at the cigar bar (Sophia) was also so very pleasant, and fun to talk to. We drank too much, ate too much,, danced too much, and would have it no other way! there is no better vacation than cruising with such pleasant people.Thank you!

A wonderful cruise by VillyB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We recently sailed on the Enchantment of the Seas for the first time. The ship was great and all areas (dining rooms, pool deck, disco etc) were great. The ship itself means a lot, because you always hear stories of people disliking the ship and then you tend to dislike the whole cruise. Both the dining area and the windjammer were great and it is always good that although they are some many people on board, there are no big lines. The service in the Windjammer was not so good. Waiters were not always helpful and once I found I piece of hair in my omelete and return it and the guy just laughed ... instead of at least apologizing. The service in the dining room was great. Live music was great and there was a lot of variety. Our stateroom was a bit small for 3 people and there was no place to move vs the Westerdame ship eg. Our overall experience was a very pleasant one

An encdhanting cruise by GalenR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our third cruise, and our second to the Carribean. The first was on the Majesty of the Seas. Both ships are beautiful. We went on this cruise as a celebration of a 75 birthday of a family member. We were treated with such flair in the dining room and the waiter had a lot of work to do taking care of 18 people at once. He was superb! Even though he did not work the morning shift, he was always there making sure we were taken good care of. The shows on the ship were so good, we missed one when the ship was a little rocky from the seas. That was a different experience for us but we faired really well. Everything was kept immaculate. Our little towel animals each night was a treat, we found ourselves wandering each night what it would be. The Windjammer was always a great experience. It was so hard to choose what to eat, the soups were delicious and all of the different kinds of foods offered especially ones from different countries. That made it kind of fun and exciting to even go for lunch wondering what you would get today. The midnight buffets were exquisite and beautiful. You hated to eat anything and mess up the presentation. Ice sculptors were beautiful too. Formal night was beautiful, I always think people who eat in the dining room should dress because the waiters work so hard, the food is prepared so nicely and you have white table cloths and napkins. You show some respect to those who work so hard to make your vacation fun and relaxing. I was certainly a week to remember.

Very Relaxing Cruise by SandyW4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Very disappointed in pools. Water was very cold and entrance/exit from water was by ladder. This prohibited me from using them due to knee problems. Didn't like that all beverages you ordered on ship automatically included a 15% gratuity!

Relax and avoid the newbies by DavidR13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Looking for a quick, relaxing vacation away from teenagers and work, we took a 3 day cruise on the Enchantment of the Seas through Ft. Lauderdale, Nassau and Coco Cay. There were many things to recommend about the ship, cruise line and itinerary and many things not to recommend. Overall, our goal was to relax and we did... but it took some forethought and work. We've cruised many times before and appreciated people helping us learn the ropes when we were newbies. I don't mind helping others out but it seems the three day - Bahamas cruise is a target for an inordinately large amount of people that you ordinarily wouldn't want to associate with. The new child curfew on RCCL is a godsend as all children under 18 have a firm midnight curfew. No more running up and down the halls at 2am. No more toddlers in the lounges at midnight. You know what I mean. Nassau is the same as ever and once you've seen Bay Street, you never have to see it again. Be brave and see the rest of the island... the good and the bad. I used the time my wife was in the spa to visit a client on the island. Native cooking and real people are what makes the Bahamas special. Coco Cay is totally revamped and a pleasure to visit now. Years ago this was not so. The flies are gone and there are now plenty of chairs and hammocks. The island is now clean and worth spending the day on. We found a secluded spit of land with only four chairs and shade. Plugged our mp3 player into a speaker and read, listened to music and relaxed!!! Overall, a pleasant relaxing trip but you have to make it so. Avoid the noise, the hassle and enjoy. If they cleanup the ship (hallway and such), it would be much nicer. A small ship, a small itinerary but worth the time/money as long as you know what you are signing up for.

great time had by all... by KarenC18

Ship was really nice and tastefully decorated. Cabins were comfortable and there was ample space. Public areas were open and never felt overcrowded. We have cruised many times and really enjoyed the Enchantment for a quick getaway. Shore excursions were perfect because our children love waverunners and water activities. Coco Cay was exceptionally beautiful and had plenty to do.

Poor guest relations by LaurenK1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

My parents had to leave the ship because my mother broke her leg. We had a terrible time getting their luggage off the ship and getting their passports to them at the local hospital. The Guest Relations staff apparently had no procedure for passengers leaving the ship early, had no idea what to do and it took hours.

Best Vacation Ever by Mike17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We just got back from our best vacation ever, a 6 day New Year Caribbean cruise. Embarkation process was smooth and orderly. Because of that, we got on board much earlier than we expected, but our suite was ready and we were able to enjoy lunch. The Enchantment of the Seas is a huge beautiful ship from outside. When we walked in, it amazed us with gorgeous, modern and airy ambience with marble floors, polished brass, large glass windows and beautiful furniture etc. Elegance and luxury are the words throughout the ship. (I'm sorry to say this, but I did not expect 5 star ambience from Royal Caribbean). Holiday decorations were beautifully and tastefully done. Spa treatment (we had aroma stone massage for a couple) was heavenly. The qualities of shows, different programs every night, were exceptional. Bars and lounges with music were open till late. There were so many things to do every day/night, if you want to keep yourself occupied. But what impressed me most was the services from our waiters, room attendant and concierge. They do their job with real friendly smile. They remembered our names and our likes and dislikes after the first day. They pampered us as if we're a royal family and only a family on board. We got very personalized service throughout the cruise. Our suite was cleaned at least twice a day. Our attendant made different animals everyday with towels like a monkey, a dog, a stingray etc., and after a few days, we could not wait to go back to our room to see what he made. The daily compass (newsletter) can tell you all the information, anything and everything we need to know about the day, so that you can schedule the day. A chef at Windjammer came out and asked our kids if they liked the past that he made. Fixed seating did not bother us as much. These days, we have to make reservations to go to any restaurants on land any ways. Our waiters paid extra attention to our kids. When our younger daughter had a hard time cutting a steak, the head waiter came with smile and cut it into smaller pieces for her. When our elder daughter could not decide what to have for dessert, he brought everything and she picked two out of those choices. Our daughters were treated like pricesses. Our concierge did everything to make our excursions to go smooth every day. They paid special attention to details, so we could just relax and enjoy. Of course, there were glitches. In our case, some of our Sea Pass cards (like ID card) failed to open our suite. When we made a complaint, they created new cards right away. Their attitude is that if there is a problem, they'll fix it right there on the spot. Our fellow passengers that we met were generally pleasant and nice. The ship was so huge that we barely felt moving. Every port of calls, we arrived on time. Weather was just perfect right around low 80s and sunny throughout the cruise from Key West to Cozumel to Grand Cayman to Cococay. Everything was smooth. Disembarkation process was smooth as well, considering about 2500 passengers trying to get down at the same time. As soon as we reached immigration/customs and baggage claim area at the port, we had to face reality. That place was a mess. We spent lots of money for this cruise not only because we stayed in an owner's suite, but also the Christmas-New Year vacation time, so obviously our expectations were high and we wanted nothing but the best. We felt they well exceeded our expectations. We only wish we could stay longerE/textarea> Ship Quality: Ship size, layout, condition of public areas, decor,

Good cruise by NoelleT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Family of 4, kids ages 12 and 9. This was our second cruise, 1st on Royal Caribbean. The ship was very clean and the staff was polite. The food was wonderful and there were many activities for all of us to participate in. We booked this cruise because it made two stops over five days. Unfortunately, we barely stepped foot on Grand Cayman when we were asked to return to the ship because the waters in the port were rough and they were afraid we would not be able to get back on later that afternoon. You are tendered into this island because there is no dock to pull up to. Anyway, we were very disappointed. There were 4 other cruise ships there and some stayed. We weren't given an option as to go to another island and once we were back on the ship we had to wait 4 hours because there were approximately 10 passengers they could not find. It really wasn't fair. Royal Caribbean didn't even apoligize or offer us any kind of reimbursement (not even a free drink once back on board!)

The ship and crew were great especially since the entire ship was sold out. Great weather and good stops. The crew did a good job of entertaining the kids in their adventure oceans program.

Good Cruise - Solid Value by JenniferT7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Ship was nicely kept up and always clean and tidy. Many activities and food options always available. Not the most "cutting edge" ship, but still a nice one. We were not particularly impressed with the food, but it was edible and always available. Service was generally friendly - we would cruise Royal Caribbean again.

excellent cruise by MarieM9

I am a seasoned cruiser having completed over 27 cruises. I convinced my non-travelling sister to go on this trip so she could see how great cruising can be. She was very pleased with the ship and the overall experience. We shared an outside stateroom which was about average in size . clean and had very comfortable beds. Key West was a good port and Cozamel had some interesting things to do. I really enjoy the days at sea.
