Enjoyed being with friends and family . Ship experience was excellent starting with the welcoming on  board food intertainment and the overall experience 

We just got back from 7 days of magic aboard the Emerald Princess.  The food in the dining rooms was fantastic and service was excellent.  Waiters and waitress all called us by name and went above and beyond to be sure our dining experience was the best.  The beaches on the islands are amazing.  Shopping was fund as well.  You can't go wrong choosing to sale on Princess Cruises.

Overall the cruise was everything we expected. Great food, great ports of call, a clean ship, overall a very competent crew and staff. We had a fantastic waiter at our dining table and our cabin attendant saw to our every need. There were a couple of notable exceptions however.

My daughter, age 31, is mobility impaired due to a below the knee amputation. The staff was great getting her on and off the ship. However, when it came time for our excursions, there was little if any mobility assistance. At two ports of call, she was told to walk more than 3/4 of a mile to get to the excursions. There were no shuttle services (i.e. a golf cart) available at 2 of the 3 major ports. The staff inside the ship did nothing to address our accommodations requests. The staff outside was better, but they only were able to change our excursions,; they did not obtain mobility assistance.

A lesser concern was the inability of many of the staff to answer simple questions posed to them in English. Most of the staff were English as a second language speakers. They were generally conversant. However, I found that they often did not understand basic questions, which was particularly frustrating at the passenger assistance desk.

Overall, I highly recommend Princess Cruises if you do not mind some hefty bumps along the journey

To start, Getting on the ship was easily and very fast, 30 minutes or less.

Room was clean and well maintained, outstanding, tipped him  more than needed. BUT

Day 1:  Couldn't get into the room until they fixed to locks and opened it.

Day 1:  Toilet stopped up first time I use it and the ship customer services asked if I stopped it up!!! I said: "How the hell do I know it's the first time I used it.

Day 1: Night - air condition worked poorly, barely cooled the room off.

Day 1: Night  - TV wouldn't shut off we had to unplug it.

During the week we had to call about the TV, the air conditioning 3 times.

Thursday: 'Air conditioning didn't work at all. TV wouldn't work on or shut off.

Friday: Air worked  but TV was the same.

Saturday morning the toilet didn't flush again and we JUST WOKE UP!!

Dinning Room: Food was fair to good, waiter was slow and the need more help in the dinning room.  Lido deck food was much better and service much better.

Islands were good, Grand Turk was beautiful.

Met some nice folks form Canada, US, Scotland, and Ireland,

I had hoped for an outdoor place to smoke cigars.  I saw outdoor cigarette smoking but no cigar smoking.  The service was top notch.  Our waiter Sergei at table number 433 was excellent with a great personality and our food was never late getting to the table.  The ship was very clean.  I will recommend Princess to everyone.  

First time on Princess.  Loved it.  Shows could longer. Plenty to do.  Food was great.  Looking forward to our next cruise on Princess. Met so many wonderful people.  The staff were very friendly.  Cabin staff was outstanding.

The food on this cruise was not good but the entertainment was even worse.  If you ate lunch at the formal dining room you had some choices but if you ate at the informal restaurant all they had were pasta dishes or a salad.  Breakfast was undercooked scrambled eggs, pork & beans, vegetables, fruits and very hard rolls.  The entertainment was a "comic" making noises on stage or an ex HGTV host trying to remember jokes.  The dance team on the ship needs someone new to plan their dances.  If you like squats and butt wiggles then this is for you.  We have always wanted to take a Princess cruise but will never take another one.

The staff was not friendly. Only the one bartender was good. Food was horrible. Then we had a fire on the second night of the cruise. I have been on 15 cruises first time with princess not good. I will stick with Norweigen and Royal Caribbean.

I booked an "oceanfront" room with obstructed view as I have done on numerous other cruise lines.  When I checked in the "ocean view" was a window overlooking a 12 foot deck where passengers walked by.  You could see some ocean past the people and over the railing but it was awful!!!!  They could not change my room due to capacity.   If I opened the curtains then people could see in the room, therefore kept them closed.  Had I known I would have either purchased a better room or saved money and gotten an inside cabin.  The advertised miniature golf was nothing more than a putting green!!!! They removed the video/game room so there was nowhere for me to play with my boy....I was not expecting a "Disney Cruise" but there was absolutely nothing for me to do with my boy....Although I checked in quite early I did not receive my luggage until we were out at sea.....Princess is awful!!!!

I am am avid cruiser and mainly travel on Royal Caribbean and occasionally celebrity. The service I received on those ships are sooo much better than here. The only great customer service experience we had was our waiters at dinner and that was sub par. I was disappointed as I heard so many great things about princess but didn't see it. I did like the ship activities and layout. The only drawback is that there are no indoor pools. The room attendant seemed aggravated if he came by the room and you were still there and he wanted to clean it. I don't know if I would travel princess again. Even the food was just OK. Def do the chocolate massage that was fantastic.

Cruise was good  entertainment  could of been better though as  some look like rookies .  Longer cruises like this should have top performers .........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................

Just returned home from our 10 day cruise on the Emerald. Everything from day one was excellent. Staff was always happy and helpful. Food was fantastic in the main dining room and at the Horizon Ct.

We are comfortable with Princess.  As usual, the cabin steward, server and her assistant were top-drawer.  The people at our table were also very nice.  We had never met them before.  The entertainment was better than ever and the food good.

We were on the Baja deck. Day one we walked into the stateroom and there was no air conditioning. Called the front desk and by that evening we did have air. Don't they check their systems?  We had no cold water, only scalding water. They came to work on it. By the end of the second day we had "lukewarm" cold water. The explanation from them was that they get the water from the ocean and that is the cold water temp. Believe me , we were in the ocean and it was much cooler than what we had on the ship. Plus other people reported cold water. The toilet consistently didnt flush. We called about that a few times. They came to " fix" it to no avail. The problem is that I read reviews about the ship from people cruising 2 weeks earlier and the same problems were being reported!  Customer service workers often did not have answers or were wrong. Princess has gone downhill in their service and level of food.  What a shame!

The Emerald Princess is a very beautiful ship and very comfortable throughout the cruise. The variety of food was awesome and it taste very good too! There were plenty of activities to keep everyone doing what they wanted to do.

The Lotus Spa and Workout Room were two areas not to be missed. From a hairstyle to a massage to a pedicure, your appointment will satisfy you and you will walk away renewed.

The entertainment and orchestra were disappointing. The same quality that I experienced in the past was not present on  this cruise. The emphasis should reflect the range of passengers present.

The staff could not be praised enough. They were delightful and caring.

Our Caribbean Cruise with Emerald Princess was not to our expectations,

we are used to enjoying the time on the Princess Ships. 

Their problems are plenty, not enough towels on the pool deck, hot tubs without jets ( no air ), hot water only on pool deck showers, could not use it before entering the pool or hot tub, no cool water in cabin shower,

food in buffet was never hot, vegetables in buffet must have been cooked all night long, anytime dining was not a pleasant experience, two of our Island tours through Princess was like they had never done this before, all in all I would not endorse this ship, to enjoy and relax. 

We had heard that Princess was an elite cruise line with great service.  We went on a Norwegian cruise just a few weeks earlier and had a great time.

We had a problem with the AC in our state room.  The heat added to my wife's poor health made it miserable for her.  On the First day we talked to our cabin boy.  Nothing Happened.  The second day I talked again with our cabin boy.  Nothing seemed to happen so I went to the service desk and talked to them.  We then had a sticker on the wall that said the problem had been resolved but nothing changed.  On the third day I again went to the service desk. we again had a sticker on the wall but the ac still could not keep the cabin cool.  I returned to the desk and a manager came to our room.  He acknowledged that it was too warm and said he would have it repaired.  Again no change. I then removed the vent cover and built a chute from paper directing the air flow directly toward where my wife slept.  That was the first time she was able to sleep well but the cabin was only cool at that spot.  Finally, on the 5th day we again went to the service desk (At 10 pm )and was told that a manager would meet us in our room.  We went to our room and waited an hour and a half and nobody came.  I then called the front desk and demanded that someone come to help us.  A manager came to our room saw the chute I had built and said she would see if they could find us another room.  Within  a few minutes she called back and asked if I could meet her at another room to see if it was cool enough.  It was and they sent someone to help us move to the new room.  The new room was fine and the remainder of the cruise was quite comfortable.  

They then sent me a plate with 5 chocolates and a short note apologizing. 

I cannot think of a time, on or off a cruise that I have been ignored that much.  I have been on 5 cruises but that was the 1st time on Princess.  We will most likely go on some more but they cost too much for me to ever risk an experience like that again so Princess will not be on the list of cruise lines I will consider

A nice, relaxing cruise overall. Some activities/events seemed a bit disorganized in comparison to other ships we've been on, but this could be because it was a holiday week and sold out.

This was not my first cruise with Princess and, so, I was not surprised that it was both satisfying and rewarding.  The courtesy and attention from the staff and the quality of the food and amenities made this a delight.  Since I like days on the ocean and the occasional island hopping, this cruise was perfect for that.  Two days each, coming and going from the A, B, C islands, and interim visits to the three made for an especially enjoyable vacation.  We are already talking about doing it again next year.  I should also compliment the agent, Barbara Nason, who arranged the cruise for us.  She was friendly, efficient and supportive in booking the cruise and in follow-up questions we had.  Thank you, Barbara!

The it in good emeralds New menu in main dining does not fit everyone.  They omitted the of reliable steak and salmon.  Also dialectical dining away over priced for what it is.
