Amazing cruise, worth the Disney premium by jedsta

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Great ship and great cruise. Entertainment was excellent. Great mix of kids, family and adult only entertainment going on all the time. We found their was always something to do for everyone as a group or on our own. The provided wireless phones to use on the ship made things very easy.

Magical Getaway by ShipsAhoy425

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Did a 4 night getaway when Disney Cruise Line came to Galveston, TX. It was absolutely magical. Some of the employees remembered us and that made us feel awesome. The ship was clean, organized and had so much to do, there is no way you could do it all! (Great reason to go again!!) For being a DCL cruise it was a fantastic price and I wish they would consider doing something like that again so more people can experience how awesome DCL is.

We had an inside cabin, this time a "regular" one (last time we had a different layout) on the 5th deck. We hesitated at first since this was the "kids deck" but it was awesome! I loved being able to go watch a movie at the theater, walk out and go straight to the room. Our room was spotless as well as the whole ship. A lot of people worry that there are children running around wild everywhere and it just isn't like that at all. They are so occupied you hardly notice there are even any kiddos there!

DH and I love the rotational dining and that our servers go along with us. Since it's just the 2 of us though, they always sit us with somebody else (usually another couple) and apparently the other couple didn't realize things like this happen, as they asked the waiter (where we would hear it...) "Are they going to be sitting here every night???" Talk about awkward. But once we all got to talking and explained it (this was their first time cruising without their kids) we all enjoyed our dinners and looked forward to seeing each other each night.

We didn't use the pool, but last time we did and it was okay (the adults pool is the only one we tried). We didn't go to as many shows each night since they were the same as the cruise we took back in May the year before, but if you haven't seen them, don't miss it!

I love DCL and their "cast members", their quality of service is exceptional and I haven't found any better service and willingness to help anywhere else I've been. Top notch and worth every penny!

We had a Wonderful Time! by susanmwilkinson

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was not large, but it had everything we needed. We enjoyed the adults only area. We loved the entertainment. The food was good. The ship was kept very clean. We were part of a group of 6 adults and loved the Disney atmosphere. It was fun for us to watch the little children as they greeted the Disney characters--and we enjoyed greeting them, too!

Even though the last time... by RodneytheYungan

Sail date: /
Ship: Disney Magic

Even though the last time I rode this ship was three years ago, I can still remember how fun it was to be on my first cruise ship, exploring this massive palace on the water. Just as it’s name says, it has a magical aura about that just makes a great place to stay at for your cruise. The different themes hallways and restaurants were very cool and interesting for 7 yr old me ( I’m 14 now) I never remember a bad moment with anything to do with the ship. The entertainment and food was top notch and the fact that soda is automatically free is also a big plus.

Worst cruise we have ever had. by PeggyG1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We've been on 50 cruises and we are in total shock. Wrote a letter to CEO of Disney Cruise line. Got a call today from one of his staff. Excuses, Excuses, Excuses. Didn't even address most of the things in the letter. After 17 crusies with Disney we are calling it quits. Going on the Wonder to say goodbye to everyone and then canceling our 6 others we have schecule. I'm only one person and they really don't care to make it right. Goodbye Disney!!!!

Yep. It's magical! by AngelC2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I have been on the Disney Dream so my expectations were extremely high. I was a little nervous to try the Magic. When I first walked in I still felt concerned. The first impression isn't quite as awe inspiring as the Dream. It's smaller and not quite as fancy though still extremely nice. The first day I remained skeptical wondering if I would sail this ship again. By the second day I was won over completely. The service was amazing. The ship was easier to navigate and much quieter. Things weren't as busy and crowded. They had all the same activities I loved on the Dream but on a smaller scale. My one hold out was feeling that the ship was due for an update. It's behind the Dream in technology by quite a bit. Then I heard that next year they are schedule for a significant overhaul and update. SWEET!!! Overall Disney Cruise has won me as a customer. The rooms are well organized. The childcare is truly the clencher. You have this amazing family time with little stress because as soon as they get antsy it's off to the Oceanear's Club. :-) Oh the absolute joy. I really can't say all the things I loved. Great food, friendly cast and crew, so much to do we keep trying to aim for longer cruises because the days at sea are a blast! Improvements that could be made are letting people hang out and eat in the buffet area even when they aren't serving. Having more hours to book your next cruise and a nicer person. That whole process of let me send you a quote to your room four times cause I won't just sit with you was ANNOYING!!! Oh and parents might appreciate a few nights where the 5-12 year olds could play till 1 am like the Dream. Overall I could not be more thrilled that the Magic is soon to be sailing out of Galveston. My drive just got shorter by 14 hrs! We have one cruise booked and are planning 1 or 2 more afterward. Thanks for rocking the cruise world Disney.

Magical time on the Magic by jwaters17

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Such a magical trip as always when sailing with Disney. This was my last cruise being able to go into VIBE so it was a memorable one for me. I had 5 great cruises in there and I can remember each one. This cruise was different for us because we did not partake in any port adventures which was nice for a change. We didn't get off the ship in Key West, we decided to take advantage off exploring the less crowded ship. We got a lot of beach time in at all the ports of call we stopped at. We did get a cabana at Castaway Cay, but I don't really consider that a port adventure. Our dining room servers were fantastic as always. A lot of new friends were made this trip, one of which goes to the same college as I do currently so that's so cool. As always 10/10 would recommend to anyone and everyone.

It was "Magic"! by SharleneF

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was our first cruise, and although we had nothing to compare it with nor any expectations, we were pleasantly surprised with the crew's service, the diverse programs/activities on board, the meal rotations, and of course, "bumping" into so many Disney Characters.

An Excellent Time by BudA2

Scared at first....seeing I can't swim. Once on board my husband and I had the most wonderful time on the Disney Magic October 2011 (on my Birthday). Staff were wonderful, friendly, professional, kind and the BEST I've ever seen. Memories I'll never forget. The plays brought you back in time when you were little with the Disney characters.....it brought tears to my eyes. Looking forward in booking another cruise REAL soon to take my grown children and grand children. Disney are professionals all the way. I'll always remember... Faith....Trust...and a lot of pixie dust. Thank you Disney Magic...looking forward to my next adventure with you soon. xoxo A+ and then some.
