Disney magic cruise by Disneycruiseslo

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Western

No one does cruises like Disney! Worth every penny...Great experience for.kids,.parents and couplesLove  the kids love the kids club so much they request to go atleast once a day. Which is great for parents to have quality time and spend time in the adult section section (adult pool, bars, going to they movies show etc)

Always wonderful but have my comments by cheesepuff29

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

I love Disney. They always do it right. So to start off I'd say the cruise was fantastic! I loved the room, the entertainment, and especially the staff! We went on a Disney cruise five years ago and my only complaint then was how they ran the character meet, greet and photos. That has totally changed now and works perfect!

I do have to say that this ship was smaller than our last. I believe we went on the Disney Dream before and this was the Disney Magic. I felt the ship toss quite a bit on this trip. I'm not sure if it was the size of the ship, turbulent waters, or just the different itinerary. It didn't bother me, just something I noticed.

I LOVED Animators Palate! It was by far the best of the three restaurants. The other two were far from wonderful. Very bland and atypical to any Disney restaurant you would expect. So quite disappointed in them.

The staterooms are small, as to be expected. But I was surprised that they put a coffee table in our room. All it did was get in the way. I think they can do without the table completely.

Disney automatically charged each person in our party for the tips. I understand that tipping is cruise-typical, but I didn't like that I felt forced to tip. It should be a choice not a requirement. Further, I think Disney should step up and separate themselves from the other cruise lines. We pay a lot more to go on a Disney cruise and for good reason. I think its ridiculous to have to tip the employees on top of that. They are phenomenal, but to have to be forced to fork out an extra $250 on tips is ridiculous! I ended up asking them to refund me the charges and I paid cash to whom I wanted to pay cash too and for the amount I wanted to pay. I chose not to tip the Head Server. I didn't feel I should tip someone who only said hi to us. Just my two cents.

The food was wonderful! The service was beyond any company out there. And although I'm not one to enjoy cruises, this was a fantastic trip. Aside of my comments above, it was still fantastic and we had a wonderful time!

Best vacation ever!!!!! by AliEbarb

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was my first cruise and Disney cruise. I didn't know what to expect. I have a 12 y/o boy and didn't know if he would have fun or that I would be the source of fun for him. I was totally wrong. There was so much to do that I had to pick stuff NOT to do. The staff was excellent!! I also have a gluten allergy and was able to eat so much that I am not normally use to. They cater to those with food allergies.

After this trip I will be joining the Disney Vacation club.

Best trip ever!!!!

Cruise Review by taijalayton

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The staff and service were amazing.  Very accommodating to my family and myself.  I Was a little disappointed in the pool area for toddlers and also the nursery.  I feel the Adventures club should be available to children 2 yrs. and up.  The Nursery was very much for babies an not toddlers and did not appeal to my 2.5 year old son the way the adventure club did.  When I was looking into the cruise, these were some of the features I was looking forward too and must have only had access to the adventure club & thought that it was the nursery.  Also wish I would have been aware of the pool restrictions for toddlers.  Once I saw the areas where my son WAS allowed to go (The Nursery) (and splash area) I was very disappointed.

Great family vacation by dlevy007

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

Disney delivers a quality product for the entire family with the Magic! The ship was just refurbished, so it was in good shape. The 4-day option is a nice starter cruise for a family wanted to try out the Disney experience.

Fantastic experience for kids and adults. by Ercjack

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my 30th cruise and second on Disney. Boarding was easy and fast and begins a wonderful experience. You are greeted like VIP and treated as royalty. The food and service are hard to match and rotating dining makes the experience that much more memorable. The only downside is convincing your kids that they can't stay in the kids club forever. Debarking is the fastest and easyist I have ever experienced. Well worth the premium cost.

Be a Kid Again by teelovelee

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I took my 3 grand kids, my oldest son and brother.  We had a Great time.  It brought back the kid in us.  The characters were great, the only problems was my grand daughters wanted to see Tiana since they had her dress.  I think you should have all the Disney Princess for everyone.  They enjoyed the Oceaneer club, they did not want to leave.  The food was good, they should also serve the crab cluster hot with butter.  The oatmeal cookies was all our fav, we had the everyday.  Disney private island was great.  The person who cook the chicken need a raise, it was to die for.

Great Trip for our Granddaughter! by Fredmc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We booked this cruise to take our granddaughter who will turn 10 this year on a special trip.  And SPECIAL it was!  We loved all of it.......the stateroom was comfortable and always clean.  The food was great.....and available a lot of places.  Disney does an EXCELLENT job with the shows and the characters.  We stood in many lines for autographs and pictures.  While we loved Castaway Cay, it was cool (hey, in February we expected that) but everything was top notch there as well.  All in all, a GREAT trip!!

Fun on the Water by bobkerrkerr

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

If I could only save for one holiday it would be a Disney Cruise.  We were treated like royalty.  The staff were exceptional and the accomodations were amazing. The live theatre was outstanding. Our only negative experience throughout the cruise were the non working water slides.

great sevice by dickarra

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Great personal service by the wait staff and room staff

25 dollar corking fee is a little steep

On Board parties were aimed at young girls and somewhat ignored the boys on the ship

Pirate party was too long and the music was repetitious

Great Cruise by ddcolina363

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We had a great time.....minus our Fish Extender being stolen and the possible man overboard where we had to spend over an hour at our muster station at 11pm with 2 cold and tired kids.....but the rest of the cruise was fabulous

Anniversary was magical! by smith30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Magic / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Wonderful experience for our 10 year anniversary, sans children. Plenty to do for the grown-ups, from the lounges, to the shows, to the adults-only pools and beach area, to an AMAZING dinner experience at Palo. Don't let the fact that it is "Disney" sway you from going!
