A wonderful time! by CandaceS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Overall...it was in good condition. However, it's time for some parts of it to be updated. Our carpet was stained/old; one of our balcony sides came loose during the cruise and had to be secured; our room did not have any American outlets except for the one the TV was plugged into.

Millenium-great crew-marginal value by SamT

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The Millenium is a good ship, no doubt and it was in excellent condition, however, that is about the extent of the positive in terms of value received for money paid. We found the "suite" to be far less than what we expected for our money and far less than other ships we have been on. It was small and in our estimation would only be equal to a normal cabin on some of the other RCL and other cruiselines.

Excellent cruise by AnthonyC3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Great ship, well designed and user-friendly. Crew eager to help, cruise director friendly and professional. Shows were good, but we would have liked a magician. Our cabin for four practical and beds very confortable. Too many kids in the Adult-only AquaSpa and not enough policing.

The trip of a lifetime by MaureeneR

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

As we told our 3 teenagers, this would be the trip of a lifetime for them and we were right! Our 2 daughters were sad to have the cruise end because they made lots of friends and had a great time...they almost didn't want to leave the ship and see all the wonderful ports because they were having such a great time onboard! Everything on the ship was fantastic and the ports were beyond belief!

Our Best Cruise! by DebraR5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The Millennium was a beautiful ship that could use some refurbishment due to wear in the cabin bathrooms & carpets, but overall the rooms were clean & the cabin steward very attentive. The dining room Assistant Maitre d' was terrific & our waiter Daniel & his assistant Donaldo made our dining experience a pleasure! The food was terrific all over the ship, including room service. This was our 12th cruise & it was the best yet!

A nice cruise by BarbaraW14

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

Ship was beautiful. Cabin staff very friendly and courteous. Dinner waiter and maitre'd were excellant. Food was lovely. Entertainment was disappointing; not nearly as outstanding as our previous cruises. Port stops were lovely, although we felt there were too many...better to spend more time in less ports, than squeezing so many ports into 12 days. Maybe an extra day at sea to relax, too, rather than only one day at sea throughout.

Wonderful Honeymoon Cruise! by PamelaB5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

The Millenium was a beautiful and well maintained ship. We were greeted with champagne upon embarkation and the amenties were just beginning! We were on our honeymoon and the staff of the Millenium made it perfect for us. We enjoyed a Honeymoon/Anniversary celebration with complementary cake and champagne with others also celebrating. Our stateroom attendant was excellent and always seemed to anticipate our needs. Our waiter was equally as attentive, offering to bring more appetizers when I commented on how wonderful they were (I took him up on it!) The in-stateroom interactive T.V. system was so wonderful and convenient. We were able to tune-in to the daily "briefing" on the day's activities by the cruise director; get up to date shopping information for the port were were at; see videos of shore excursions, etc. They were done in a up-beat news desk type of production. Quite impressive!

A Marvelous Cruise! by RoseA1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our first cruise. We booked at the last minute and had to "settle" for an inside cabin. The only time we were in the cabin was to shower and sleep! From the time we boarded the ship until we "had" to leave, we were treated with respect and friendliness. It almost makes me afraid to try another cruise. I can't imagine having a better time.

A good cruise, but inconsistent service by Dp11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Stateroom size very good, very comfortable surroundings. When we had a problem with no hot water in the shower, it was quickly fixed by staff. Dining room staff was very personable, food quality good, but entrees lacked some imagination

Fantastic Cruise by ChrisG10

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Superb ship, great destinations, wonderful shows the best we've ever seen on any cruise line, excellent food, overall probably the best cruise we've done out of over 15 during the past 12 years or so both here in the US and Europe.

A Wonderful Cruise by KathyO3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This being our second cruise, but the first with Celebrity, we were impressed. The ship was beautiful and in great shape. The staff, which was plentiful, were wonderful and very helpful. I would highly recommend the Concierge Class staterooms, it is a great upgrade and worth the extra money.

The Best Vacation Yet! by BethT4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This cruise was, by far, the best experience that we've ever had! This is only our second cruise, however, after this one, we will cruise once a year and only choose Celebrity! We have already recommended this cruise line to alot of our friends. The ship was beautiful, the layout was easy and everything was so clean! Our stateroom was small, but very easy to be in. The stateroom attendants were amazing and still had time to provide us with fresh water and ice six times a day! They really paid attention to all of our needs. The restaurants were 'over the top'! The server we had was very professional, personable and accommodated anything and everything that we requested. The staff in the Olympic Restaurant (specialty restaurant) made us feel very special and provided us with an evening we will never forget. The kids club was awesome and our ten year old son gave it 'two thumbs up' - was much better than Holland America group. The councelors were attentive and excited with each activity that was planned. Everyone on the cruise (and there were A LOT of employees) was exceptional and clearly enjoyed what they did! Could not have asked for anymore. Cruises Only was incredible; from the first time we spoke with "Cookie" to the day we boarded our cruise, she was always there for us answering questions and accommodating our every need. We have used Cruises Only before on our first cruise, and will never use anyone else!! Why would we want to chance "perfection"!!

Not the greatest experience by MelanieM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Our experience working with was a painful one. We were first-time cruisers and we called the phone number and booked a 7-night caribbean cruise on the Celebrity Millenium. The very next day is when the hassle started: We discovered my bank account was maxed out and my account was frozen - we were charged EIGHT times the total cost of our cruise, because the staff member taking our reservation thought he had lost internet connection while putting my card number through to bill it, so he just kept trying.....!!! He also created two seperate booking ID numbers in the process, so we had not one, but two mistakes to deal with. It took an excessively long time to get our money back, and get things straightened out. And so much for their so-called "satisfaction guarantee" - i had to repeatedly call back when no one from the company was returning my calls and following up on my problem. When I finally did get a supervisor on the phone i had to plea-bargain with - and all I was finally offered was a $100 shipboard credit for mine and my husband's three-week ordeal. Our agent was also not very helpful as he gave us limited and/or wrong information about the crowd onboard, the cruise in general, and embarkation and disembarkation . Based on information from our agent, my husband booked a flight for his travel back to work. Toward the end of the cruise, the crew onboard told him his flight was way too early to be able to make it. He ended up having to catch a later flight and was charged for the change by the airline. The cruise overall was very nice but more information would have been helpful - our dinner reservations were all wrong and we would have liked to have been told we would be the only couple under 60+ on the cruise. There was a 20-30 year difference between us and the rest of the passengers. The ship, Celebrity's Millennium was very nice. Its a beautiful ship, clean, with great restaurants and wonderful entertainment. Overall it was great, but there is only one main pool on the top deck, and one smaller one, that was taken over by young children the whole time. The children's designated pool and play area was closed for our entire trip, and no one could tell us why that was. Our stateroom was always clean and the staff - from the wait service to the room attendant - were all exceptional. Our shore excursions were a blast. We would highly recommend the snorkelling tours. We did shipwreck snorkelling in St Maarten that was amazing, and a reef snorkelling and beach tour in Antigua. The Old San Juan walking tour was beautiful and very informative. And we definitely say to explore a little. We found a great restaurant off the beaten path in St. Maarten with the most delicious seafood.

Pretty Good Job Celebrity by willwork4cruz

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We did have a good time. It was a nice cruise and we plan to sail again with Celebrity soon. Unfortunately, we always have these high hopes when trying a new cruise line that it will be our new favorite and it is always a little disappointing. So far, Princess is still our favorite. Not that they are way better than Celebrity but better in more ways than not, so if the price was similar, I would choose Princess. But we are always open to going on any ship and cruise line.

Great Ship and Great Trip by scottiem63

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The cruise was fantastic overall. Disappointed we did not stop in Nassau due to wind conditions, but that gave us 6 additional hours in St. Thomas which made up for the loss and ended up being preferable since we were originally scheduled not to arrive in St. Thomas until 2 PM. We had a full day there from 8 AM to 10 PM. Our room on deck 10 was below the Sky Lounge so it was noisy at night until 1:30 or 2 AM. Deck 10 rooms are close to the Solarium and you can get to the pool and buffet very easily as they are on the same deck. However, do not book those rooms unless you want to hear boom, boom, boom at night until 1:30 or 2 AM. If you like to party at night, you will be in the lounge anyway and not your room, so night owls will find these rooms very desirable. Excursions sponsored by Celebrity were great. If you have the money, they are worth the extra expense to make sure you get a good experience while in port. But even the "Small Group" excursions had 30 people in the group. We also booked one private charter in St. Thomas for 8 people and the cost was the same or less than a similar Celebrity sponsored excursion and was only the 8 of us on the boat. I recommend checking Facebook for any cruise you take to see if there is a page for that sailing. You can meet people traveling with you in advance, and we were able to make plans for our private excursion there with people we did not know prior to the cruise.

First Celebrity Experience... but Not the Last by sweetliberty13

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Millennium

We enjoyed our 8 day Southern Caribbean cruise from Ft. Lauderdale to San Juan aboard the Celebrity Millennium. It was our first experience with Celebrity. The ship is the oldest and smallest we have sailed on. The Millennium proves that great things do come in small packages. Would definitely sail on her again.

Celebrity is making cut backs that affects quality of vacation. Food is inferior compared to just 12 months ago. Not worth the value

Great vacation getaway by AndrewJ7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Millennium

I love Celebrity, the staff is top notch and the ship was clean. Minimal kids and not too many drunk 20 something’s which is a huge bonus for me, it was a more mature crowd. Booked another cruise while on board, check out the 2025 sailings some new and exciting ports. The ship is older but well maintained. Would recommend this itinerary it was magical.
