Review summary

The cruise was fantastic overall. Disappointed we did not stop in Nassau due to wind conditions, but that gave us 6 additional hours in St. Thomas which made up for the loss and ended up being preferable since we were originally scheduled not to arrive in St. Thomas until 2 PM. We had a full day there from 8 AM to 10 PM. Our room on deck 10 was below the Sky Lounge so it was noisy at night until 1:30 or 2 AM. Deck 10 rooms are close to the Solarium and you can get to the pool and buffet very easily as they are on the same deck. However, do not book those rooms unless you want to hear boom, boom, boom at night until 1:30 or 2 AM. If you like to party at night, you will be in the lounge anyway and not your room, so night owls will find these rooms very desirable. Excursions sponsored by Celebrity were great. If you have the money, they are worth the extra expense to make sure you get a good experience while in port. But even the "Small Group" excursions had 30 people in the group. We also booked one private charter in St. Thomas for 8 people and the cost was the same or less than a similar Celebrity sponsored excursion and was only the 8 of us on the boat. I recommend checking Facebook for any cruise you take to see if there is a page for that sailing. You can meet people traveling with you in advance, and we were able to make plans for our private excursion there with people we did not know prior to the cruise.

Embarkation

Took us less than 30 minutes to be onboard.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
MDR was great, buffet was very good but some things were not up to temp because they were left out too long.

Qsine

The experience was really neat and cool but the food was not to our taste. I actually had my dinner revisit me later that night. I am not sure if I ate something bad or if I just over ate that day. I was fine after purging. The service was fantastic. Setting aside the the gasto intestinal issues, I still think the experience is cool but not just worth the money. Just watch the videos others took on YouTube. I would love to see the experience redone in another theme like Italian or maybe just a good old American steak dinner theme. And made a little more affordable. I good menu would go a long way to making the additional cost worthwhile.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
There were so many activities for people of all types. The schedule was so full it was hard to decide what to do.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Most of the shows were very good. But the song and dance thing was overdone a little. The smaller venues all over the ship had 2 and 3 piece bands that were superb.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
Celebrity does not seem to cater to children but they do have the Camp at Sea and family friendly excursions. Just no slides, flow riders, rock walls, ETC you see on Royal Caribbean.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was the best we have ever had on any cruise.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ships was very clean and never found any trash onboard. Ship is very well laid out and we found our way around on the first day with no issues.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabins are very nice and clean. The mattress was a little uncomfortable since it is two twins combined and the seam was always noticeable. Also the cabins on deck 10 are below the Sky Lounge. They are close to the Solarium and you can get to the pool and buffet very easily as it is on the same deck. However, do not book those rooms unless you want to hear boom, boom, boom at night until 1:30 or 2 AM. If you like to party at night, you will be in the lounge and not your room anyway, so night owls will find these rooms very desirable.

Ship tip

Great for adults and teenagers but I caution against bringing young children onboard. Unless they are happy sitting at the pool all day or attending the Camp at Sea program, they might get bored. Don't book rooms on deck 10 unless you are a night owl as they are below the Sky Lounge and that party goes on to 1:30 or 2 AM every night.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
There was a long line to get off. I think that was primarily because people were not waiting for their scheduled time.
