Review summary

I love Celebrity, the staff is top notch and the ship was clean. Minimal kids and not too many drunk 20 something’s which is a huge bonus for me, it was a more mature crowd. Booked another cruise while on board, check out the 2025 sailings some new and exciting ports. The ship is older but well maintained. Would recommend this itinerary it was magical.

Embarkation

Overall smooth, the only thing I found odd was there were a lot and I mean a lot of folks at the port early, it was like Celebrity did not follow the boarding times people had. Again it was pretty smooth for a large wave of a crowd.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at Blu every night and it was delicious! Only wish the portions were bigger. The buffet was solid though at times repetitive.

Onboard Activities

The fitness center was great, plenty of machines to use. The Persian Garden was a dud! It was sooooo small and crowded, we stopped using it as this made me sad. Loved the whirlpools and they were not too busy. Did have a great message on Day 2 and not a huge up sell products afterwards.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Saw the 70’s Disco Show and it was good. The music was fine wish they had more musical acts.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Omg all staff was 5 stars! The staff at Blu were fabulous, they remembered my wine of choice and were so friendly. Our room steward Arjawa was the best, he is a magician with how fast and thorough he was. Overall can’t say enough about how great the staff was and to me it seemed like they had enough people working.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
So clean so very clean. Staff was cleaning all the time. Perfection on cleanliness. The ship is older but well maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

Stayed in the Aqua Class, it was the perfect size, though the shower was a tad small, I get it as an older ship.

Ship tip

I would not pay extra for the Persian Garden, too small. Honestly I would not book the Aqua Class in this ship, Blu is great but not that great for the extra price compared to a balcony cabin.

Ports of call

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Ok I must confess I want to move to St Lucia! What a great island! We did a catamaran to the Pitons, they are majestic. Then we swam in non sea weed infested waters, it was lovely.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
I like St Thomas at lot, we did an excursion to Secrets Beach. This is a smaller non crowded beach that we love. There was a tad bit of sea weed but we managed A ok. Love this beach. If you plan on going to Magen’s Bay there are plenty of taxi busses to take you there.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Well that stunk, we ended up taking an excursion to Orient Beach. The sea weed was out of hand, there was so much you could not swim. Next time we will just take a taxi to Orient Beach and save the money. Not a fun time and to top it off the bus was 30 minutes late picking us up at he beach.

Bridgetown, Barbados

I did not really like getting to the excursion, you have to take a bus from the ship, then try to find your excursion at the port and it was busy and confusing. We went to really nice beach, Carlisle Bay, that was crystal clear (yeah no seaweed). Again save some money and take a taxi. Had never been before so did not know what to expect. Awesome beach highly recommend.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We got in early and stayed in town, nice beaches , no excursion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very organized no issues at all.
